I bought a car from Downsview Auto that failed on me the FIRST DAY I picked up the car on the HIGHWAY. It literally put my life in danger. I also had to wait half an hour each time after shutting off my car so that I could start it up again, because it would not start. After requesting that I receive my money back in full, a couple of days after picking it up, I was denied this request. They sold me a car that basically did not work and put my life in risk. Edi, the person who I was in contact with at Downsview was completely deceiving, and the biggest liar I have ever met. Unfortunately, that is not an exaggeration. They finally agreed to repair my car.

Long story short. I bought the car in June. From June till August, my car was in their possession on and off for weeks. In that time, NOTHING was repaired. By August, after running out of excuses they finally stated that they had the resources to repair my car. From August to October, they had complete possession of my car. After using up all my savings for that car, (I am a University student), I was not even able to use it which left me with no money and no transportation to go to work or school. Which meant I ended up missing days of school, days of work, and spending large amounts of money on public transit, which is unacceptable since buying the car was supposed to take care of all that. 

By October, after two months of no car, I already had enough. I had contacted lawyers who stated that what they were doing was completely illegal and that should I decide to take this to court, I would have no trouble winning my case. And do that is what I decided to do. When they called to tell me that my car was ready to pick up in October, I told them that it was too late, and that I would not pick up the car. 

Downsview Auto then sent me a letter, (signed by Dror Ziskind) threatening me that if I did not pick up the car, they would begin charging me fees for leaving the car on their property and eventually dispose of my vehicle. Forcing me to pick up my car. When I did pic up the car, it was only to find out that the car stil had problems as the yellow engine light was still on and the red overheating sign continued to flash. When I mentioned this issue, I was told by Edi that they would only fix it if I dropped the claim. Obviously, I am not stupid, after all that they have done to me, I would not let them get away with it and not waste any more time on that car. 

It gets even worse. As of today, December 17, 2012, the car lies on my driveway completely dead. The car does not start, at all.

Like him/her I was lied to continuously. I was also told many many many times that Edi was 'not available', AND like this user, I was also told that Edi had gone 'on vacation' conveniently at the same time I was given a date to pick up the car in the first couple of months of their possession. I was also referred to this guy named Tony from C.A.R.S. who is just obviously another extension of their scamming business. I was also contacted by an individual from Downsview Auto who was EXTREMELY RUDE, who yelled at me over the phone saying that I should be thankful that Downsview would repair my car. I honestly couldn't believe it. Each time I called, (which was plenty btw), I had to first speak with that lady, (which the user: put downsview out of business, appropriately calls her the b***h), who always pretended to act oblivious to everything, and was also rude on a couple of occasions.  

Only thing I regret is not going online to look at the reputation this 'company' has. If I had done so, it would have been clear that I should have stayed FAR AWAY from Downsview Auto. I hope by creating this post, somebody can learn from my mistakes and not even go anywhere near their lot.
