I ordered a costume and a pair of shoes on 8/16/06. Immediately, my credit card was charged and I received an e-mail stating that they received my order and that I'd receive another e-mail in approximately 48 hours telling me when the order would be shipped. I waited till 8/23/06 asking for the status of my order. I received no reply. Slowly becoming anxious, I decided to search for a way to contact them by phone since the website (doxylingerie.com) only has 3 ways to contact - by e-mail addresses (sales, customer support, and orders).

The search turned up something that really surprised me. There were at least two websites that collected customer feedback and what I read shocked me. That's when I found ripoffreport.com. Partly because I am busy with work and other legal matters, I decide to wait before adding my two cents to this site. I e-mail doxy again on 8/28/06 telling them that I saw the reports and is there anything I can do to help them get me my order - or ANY order for that matter. My order was $80 +. They responded the same day saying that they have the costume I wanted in stock but in a different size. I immediately told them that I'd take it! They said that the shoes will come from a separate location, but will be sent "UPS 3 day air" and the costume USPS priority mail.

I thanked them and waited. I waited til 9/15/06!! I wrote them asking about the order and inquiring if I need to file a compaint? They responded immediately saying, "Would you prefer to still receive the order at this point, or would you like to cancel it for a full refund?" In minutes, I responded that I will take the refund, please send the confirmation number of the credit transaction. No reply.

On 9/18/06, I wrote to them inquiring about the refund and asking for the confirmation again. They quickly responded, "The refund has been processed. It takes 3-5 days to show back up into your account (depending on your bank). Thank you so much." I told them that my bank has nothing to do with my VISA, as long as they credit it back, they will get a confirmation number and I can track that with VISA - and to please verify asap. NO response.

I e-mailed again on 9/22/06 asking again for a confirmation of the credit processing and telling them that I won't wait much longer before filing complaints. Which leads me to today. It's now 9/26/06 and I have checked my accounts and there hasn't been any credits posted.

It's shocking to me that a Company would blantantly do this to consumers and seem to be getting away with it. I have notified and thus been contacted by several news reporters who are willing to investigate this matter in Michigan and Missouri. It's sad that it had to come to this...knowing the legal process, I feel like this company needs a spotlight on them so that consumers everywhere will not be fooled like the rest of us only to find the rip-off report website in frustration. It would've helped if we were notified first - like the big companies - once they do something morally wrong, we find out. Small companies such as Doxy Lingerie should not get away with it because there's a lack of publicity. Pretty soon, Jennifer will wish she were in jail to excape public humiliation.
