After watching the video, it seems to me that the YouTube clip of the Dr Phil Show indeed appears to have been pieced together, making the poster look bad.

I must say that I do agree: If the doctor in question did in fact botch the job, he should be willing to correct this issue quickly at no cost (why must anyone pay for a correction of something not caused by their own negligence or not done right the first time?). If it turns out that the problem came about by known negligence from the consumer (or patient in this case), I would not see why the consumer himself would not be held responsible (and willing to pay) for the subsequent corrective actions required.

Have you sued the doctor in question for malpractice?

He's working for Dr Gunter Obviously!!! Look at the video it is extremely edited! I was on the show for 30 freakin minutes! Not 47 seconds! lol! watch the edits people! lol Make your own decision! Me and a girl made a bad one! Oh and Gunter is 72 now!

Yup! It happened twice! A female before me! Had to have the Flap too! Thats 2 strikes Dr Gunter. Whats happeneing? What happened to her? HUH? HUH? HUH? HUH? HUH?

As you probably know, information placed on the internet is not censored and is not always the truth. Dr. Gunter feels badly that Mr. Funk suffered a rare but known complication of secondary rhinoplasty surgery but is disappointed by the way Mr. Funk as portrayed the treatment given him by Dr. Gunter while he was under his care.

Mr. Funk's complication was immediately diagnosed and the proper care and treatment started by Dr. Gunter. Unfortunately an infection developed that complicated the situation even more. If you would like more information about this, you can go to

Specifically, Dr. Gunter documented a thorough preoperative evaluation and outlined the difficulty of secondary rhinoplasty verbally and in writing for the patient. The surgery was performed appropriately and the postoperative complications were recognized quickly and treated appropriately. The standard of care was met.

i went to another, imho, horrible, unethical, old plastic surgeon for nose surgery, and came out with almost all of the internal anatomy of my tip gone. i went to richard ellenbogen of beverly hills body -- he removed all the soft tissue, cartilage, and the nasal spine from my tip and part of my septum. he made me looked deformed, and it has been the worst and most painful and horrible experiece of my life.

I hate when people post things just because they feel the need to....they have no idea what they are talking about.....like the person posting the comments about people being vain about getting plastic surgery......my nose job was to fix the crookedness and breathability....rry, some people are just bored and love to roam looking to post OPINIONS on anything and everythin before they know the story........

I simply don't understand why people are so obsessive with the way they look. Unless your nose is preventing you from breathing properly, then I see no need to change it. Same goes for anything else on your body. You know what they say..."If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Nose Tip rotted off after sugery with Dr.Jack P Gunter!

January 29th, 2007 I flew to Dallas Texas where Dr. Jack P. Gunter would be performing rhinoplasty surgery to correct some imperfections.
I want to show you what I've seen each time I have looked in the mirror for the past six months. For myself, It has been an absolutely horrific experience.

After the surgery, when I woke up, I was in severe pain!They could not even touch my tip.Well, As soon as possible they send you home or in my case back to the hotel room. I was to see Dr.Gunter on Monday, So I was to stay a week in Dallas!

Well, My tip was black all around the stitch line even while I was fresh out of surgery. It was dark and milky looking, almost black then. They should have known something was up!

Why was I sent home....who knows? Well, I called his office like a day or two later to tell them about the stitch line getting blacker and wider around it ...

I went into the office immediately and Dr.Vincent Marin(one of the doctors that helped perform the surgery, harvested the rib cartiledge and lipoed my neck) saw me...

Dr Gunter was at a meeting or out of town if I rememeber correctly.
They cleaned me up sent me back to the hotel and LLater I went home to Alabama! My nose then turned black and proceeded to rot off. I went back and forth to Dallas a few times for them to stare at me and wonder...hmmmmmm! Meanwhile I am paying for all these flights and all of them were fly in fly back out...

These flights and visits was very hard on me as it was not too long after the surgery. Oh... He did drive me to the airport after I could not get the airport shuttle guy to wait for me...He left me..... So, after me trying to get a cab to the airport before I missed my flight....He finally offered to take me to the airport! WOW! Why I was originally sent home with it black I will never know.


think they might have been thinking... Oh My GOD... LET'S JUST WAIT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS... I eventually wound up with the tip of my nose GONE! I had to see a specialist and had to have my forehead twisted at 180 degree angle and pulled down onto the hole in my nose for a few weeks so that a piece of meat would take and try and become my tip... My tip now grows hair(it's from my scalp).


By the way....Dr.Jack P. Gunter refused to pay to fix this disaster!
This truly has changed my life FOREVER!!! I am $60k in debt now and filed an extension with the IRS.
