Dr. Marianna Weiner, Fair Garden Modern Dentistry Double Billed, Scared and Referred for Unnecessary Consultation to Friend Brooklyn New York

I visited this dentist because I was new to the neighborhood and she was listed by my insurance provider.

I had two problems:

1. She warned me that my front teeth would fall out within a year without immediate oral surgery. She referred me to an oral surgeon who, after a short $350 exam, determined that this was not the case. I later found out that they are friends and he moved into her practice in Brooklyn.

2. She asked me to sign the form indicating that my dental insurance would pay her directly. She also asked for full payment at the time of service, indicating that she would refund the difference after she received the check from the insurance. I received the insurance statement indicating that she had been paid and it took me numerous calls over months to be issued the check. I finally had to visit in person and make an obnoxious scene in the waiting room to get them to refund the double payment.

3. My wife went to her at the same time I did. She was told she would need expensive orthodontia. She was smarter than I and got a second opinion and was told it was not at all the case.
