My wife and I both went to Mr. Walters (I refuse to call him a Dr.) He was dishonest with both of us. My wife has was told she needed injections for her spinal stenosis. She received one and was helped perhaps 10% for a few days. We sought out a second opinion, this Dr. taking X-rays (Mr. Walters did NOT, only an MRI, which DOES NOT TELL THE WHOLE STORY) and told us that she also had a dislocated vertebrae, and would definitely need surgery to correct this (a third opinion confirmed this). as an injection was only a "Band-Aid" and a temporary one at best. Yeah, a $1,500.00 Band-Aid.

Sadly, before we learned how unprofessional and greedy Mr. Walters was, I met with him (a week after my wife's appointment) about my spinal stenosis. He, again, recommended injection, saying I had a 100% positive prognosis. I asked about surgery, since part of my problem was bone-on-bone, he told me a good surgeon would just send me back to him. On the day of my injection, after I paid $750.00 out of my own pocket, I asked him about the "100% positive prognosis" as I wanted to know if I would be taking these injections for life...He was caught off guard, and told me "I said you had 100% positive prognosis WITH SURGERY!" What a LIE! Since I already paid, I felt I might as well (foolishly) get the injection. It helped about 20% for a few weeks, now I am in the same pain as before. Yes, I need surgery as well. I encourage everyone to stay away from this unprofessional, so called Dr. He will sell you what he sells, and when it does not work (not that it never does, but most of the time it is just a temporary fix), I suspect he will collect a fat referral fee by sending you to one of his friends for surgery.

Dr Walters saved my life

AUTHOR: Brenda - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, August 22, 2016

I have been a patient of Dr Walters for several years after breaking my thoracic spine in an accident. Originally I was seeing Dr. Peloza and Dr Walters was working in his offices. At some stage, I experienced such ongoing, severe pain that I contemplated suicide. Dr. Peloza offered zero help in resolving this issue and demonstrated complete apathy for my situation.

Dr. Walters suggested I might have a pinched nerve in my back and suggested seeing a chiropractor. This resolved the situation within 30 days.

Dr. Walters is not known for subscribing meds to resolve a problem. Like almost all Orthorpedic surgeons, he can come across abrupt when discussing a case, but I do not think this is from a lack of caring. Dr. Walters and I are in sync with my ultimate goals of living a healthy and productive life free from pain meds if possible. I understand it is entirely up to me to excercise and do my research on how to achieve these issues. Dr. Walters is there to provide support, care and advise as needed if I am unable to control pain. Highly professional and competent.
