A San Antonio family says it is the victim of fraud. A couple of months ago, a teenage driver crashed into their backyard. The damage needed professional repair. Laura Miskell, the homeowner, tells news 4 WOAI's Aubrey Mika she flipped through the phone book and decided to hire Dream Resurfacing. The owner, David Avalos, agreed to the job.
?He came by to pick up the check,? Miskell says.

Miskell paid Avalos $2000 for a job that she says was never completed.

?He goes around telling you he has a service to offer you, takes your money, and never comes back,? she says, ?that's how he makes his living.?

When the job wasn't finished, Miskell did some research on Dream Resurfacing. She says she found numerous complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the State Attorney General's Office. This includes lawsuits against Avalos.

Had she known this, Miskell wouldn't have called the company.

?Don't hire this man. He's going to take your money. He's not going to do any work,? warns Miskell.

After realizing Dream Resurfacing was not going to fix her yard, she asked for her money back. The situation worsened from there.

?He was calling me all sorts of names and telling me he was going to ?get us' if we don't pay him.?

The Miskells didn't pay Dream Resurfacing any more money. Instead, they hired another person to fix their property.

News 4 WOAI did contact David Avalos for this story. Avalos told us the Miskells are at fault in this situation, despite admitting to having business problems in the past. He refused to speak with us on camera, but did say that if we aired this story ? he'd make sure the Miskells never got their money back.

Can't beleive this guy is still in business. Now he has a website. I went to yahoo and clicked "rate this business", of course the rating was removed. Just more paid advertising. This company owes me thousands of dollars. If you live in San Antonio TX, Don't be robbed by Dream Resurfacing. DAVID RINGO AVALOS will steal you money.
