Please be advised, she has a tendency to be honest in her abilities and criminal in her financial dealings. Several individuals have reported similar situations in which the person noted above, Drew Bird, waits until the last minute before all her contractual agreements are met as a tactic to exploit money from her clients. These fees generally include additional labor for assistants to complete the project in time wether or not the scope of the project has changed. And to employ other contractors to complete work she has guaranteed she herself is proficient. Drew Bird disregarded her service agreement, directly ignoring instruction (specific creative instruction) from individuals who are under the impression they are only paying her for labor not self-interested creative intervention without consent or notice.

Most recently I hired her to sew together a dress that had been approved through client, director and agency. 48 hours before she was to deliver the dress to set, a fitting was held, final details put in place but was completely disregarded. She first requested an assitant at the rate of $250 a day for the last 2 days to complete tailoring. (She's a seamstress) The dress was delivered late to set, no final tailoring had been completed since the fitting, no details completed, the dress had a large stain on the tail which she attempted to cut off. She had purchased many fancy kit supplies totally to more than $300 (including new scissors and an electric cutter) The dress was in such poor shape the director and crew quickly rearranged the shotlist, removing any close ups that would magnify the dresses flaws and poor craftsmanship. Many people had been working on this commercial longer then this individual and had put a lot of hard work. It was unfortunate she didn't take that into consideration in fulfilling her agreements. I have personally hired Drew Bird on multiple occasions in which small unprofessionalism had come into play. Constantly late, billing a production for a traffic violation in which she rolled a stop sign on her way to set. I willingly ignored these things because I had heard good things about her work from people I respected. (*who have since had to learn their own hard lessons and no longer employ her) She has cost me the relationship of one of my most valued clients who I spent years building a relationship. Please please please pay attention to all your communication with her and ensure you see your final product ahead of schedule. And look out for the last minute additional labor requests. She is paid to allocate her time upfront within the scope of the project but generally doesn't do so claiming to be working tirelessly at going above and beyond .
