Don't listen to the owner - the attorney general successfully sued them.  He is a deadbeat and it is a scam working for them.

Don't believe anything Mr. Howard says, the mans business is built on lies. I used to work at DRH about twenty years ago when I was in my early 20's. Some how, Some way, this man managed to get away  with holding $400 from my paycheck after he promised to pay me. as for Tony, the man who started this compliant, he is telling the truth 100%. You dont have to believe me, just read the Massachusettes State Attorney General's report which includes charges and an indictment filed against DRH.

As far as the work opportunity that kirby offers... it is un matched by any other company on the planet... it allows a nobody to become a somebody with good old fashioned hard work.. i have been kirby for a little under 4 years now i no longer work for any one but my self i own my own franchise... kirby did not give me any of the tools i needed but they gave me all the paid training that i needed by putting me to work and helped hone my skills.... they worked me and taught me how to become independant of any one else... i went from a 30.00 a hour job= just over broke.... to a 300,000.00 a year career i own my office and i work very hard to produce big number every month.... the losers that say its a scam have never known a hard days work or r just to stupid to figure it out.... witch is the reason why i work so hard to pay the taxes that buy their food each month and pay their rent or other programs that keeps them on the couch not working wake up and do something with your life quit bitching cause there is not a free ride in america you dumb asses i know i cant spell but i can sell.... and well when all else is erased there is one thing in america that everyone needs and that is money name one problem that money wont fix...... go ahead ill wait as far as the owner of the company goes just keep on man and well ill see you at the top 

People who own a distribution center either have experience or they don't . Anyone can contact Kirby directly and open a free distribution center for $0 down $0 ever invested. Its like an affiliate. They give you the tools for success for free you just need to direct people to the product to make the sale. Sure you sign a document stating that Kirby is giving you this stuff and you must return it in the condition it was given to you or you sell it for profit then pay Kirby the minimum amount they charge.

To "Owner"

You reference that the author of this rip off report may be a Child Molester. You have personally just destroyed your business. That alone is a lawsuit and a crime punish by law in the US. I urge the author to file suit and/or charges against you. Its called Verbal Harrasment and I've seen people go to prison for less.

To "Author" I too share your story at a personal level. I left a paying job for this scam of a company. Its the same here in Harrisburg PA.

Hello "owner of the company." I find your comment VERY unprofessional. I despise this company and what it stands for, I love my manager but let me tell you!! I would NEVER work for someone like you after hearing what you just said. That is black balling first of all. Just hearing this makes me sick. That isputting someone else down so you look better which is what this whole company is about! They try to hammer it into your head that you NEED this They make it sound almost deathly that you may have dust mites in your bed. Yeah its gross but people have been living for years like this. They take examples of oh if the dirt was on top of your carpet you wouldnt let your kids anywherenear it. No, but you think parents dont let their kids go play in parks? Our bodies are immune to these bacteria. Plus we need some of it! We need good bacteria to survive. Its nice to have but I wouldnt waste my money at the moment. It is not a priority and no not everyone could afford it like all these "distributors" believe. They say if all your tires popped youd come up with the money somehow to get them fixed. Not exactly. I probably couldnt. and at that, we wont get to work, weneed that, it is not a necesity. a good vacuum is a luxury. I despise the woburn office, I WILL call you when it  is convenient and let you know like you said too,  and let me just tell you. Putting potential employees down,or anyone for that matter will do the oppositeof get you business. That is just plain RUDE.

I do realize that this response is over a year later, but I happened to stumble across this report when googling DRH Enterprises.

I do remember applying to the company, and yes, Tony is correct about the application process. But what I don't understand is why Tony says that it is weird he did not have to fill out certain parts of the application because those parts were already listed in his resume...it seemed that the employer was only making things easier for him... Also, when I applied, the desk was not empty when I arrived. As there were people out on appointments, the office was a little quiet, but considering that a large part of the company is outside sales, why should there be such a hustle and bustle in the office? On the interviewer's desk I noticed sheets with appointments written on them. Other than that, why should there be a lot of papers and junk on the desk? That would only look unproffesional to me. Nicer to keep an office neat and uncluttered to make a nice impression.

And the business cards. There really is no need, in my opinion, to make separate cards for each person in the company. I don't see how a lack of titled business cards would be evidence in a job scam...

Also drhinc.net is clearly not this company's site!! When I checked it out it had a blog of someone's experience at an anime convention! Obviously not a Kirby distributor! DUH!

Lastly, if it were such a scam, then how come I happen to know of an employee who has been with the company for a year now? And he makes dang good money from what I see.

My name is David Howard and I am a Kirby Distributor in Woburn, Massachusetts. I have sold Kirby vacuum cleaners for 22 years and have never had a complaint like this from Tony in Lowell. I have researched this complaint and I cannot find any person by the name of Tony or Anthony from Lowell being hired to work here. I did find an application from December 2008 from an Anthony in Lowell that was not hired because he was a convicted child molester. Perhaps that was Tony from Lowell?
Furthermore, if anyone has a problem with my company they can call me directly at 1-800-698-8885 instead of hiding behind the anonimity of rippoff report. If you ever need to travel from Lowell to Woburn for a job interview it will take approximately 45 minutes with traffic not 3 hours as mentioned in Tony from Lowell's complaint. What exactly do you hope to accomplish by posting lies about a company that you know nothing about and the owner that you have never met! You should be ashamed of yourself Tony from Lowell and I hope to meet you some day to discuss your oppErtunity and your 3 hour commute.
