On 8/29 I noticed a pending transaction for $29.95 from a company called DRI*elements.com. I didn't recognize the transaction and googled the company. Found reports of fraud at ripoffreport.com.
I called the bank and was able to put a stop payment against it on 9/2/08. The unknown company resubmitted the $29.95 transaction that day and avoided the stop payment order, by changing their name to
DRI*pctools.com. The payment had gone through before I could catch them on 9/3/08.
I filed a claim with the bank and they put a stop payment against dri*pctools.com. Obviously DRI* whoever they are know what they are doing, so to prevent any further transactions, I was forced to change debit card number. Calling into the company was a joke,"we are experiencing an unusually high call volume at this time, please call back later"
