I,Vera Anderson was approved for a 2007 car in 02-2007with a income of 8.00 an hour, car was 14,000 to start tryed mading payments ,but could not keep up ,had stated that I, was having problems at this time. The the people at Drive Financial are very, very rude, lieand etc.they would say that you did not pay a note when you did, they repossed the car in March 2008 after I,western union a,payment the very same day, showed the reposs man my reciept, had talked with Drive Financial an hour before making this payment.

After all this they want me, to pay them 12,066.58 for a car , I.do not owe anymore. They had already jumped the total of the car to 19,000, they knew when they finance the car I, would not be able to keep the payments current. This company ,rip off hard working people and want the car and the balance,I pray that no one else has to go thru this kind of treatment, but I, have asked God to see me thru this ordeal I have faith that he will do just that, I, needed to write this down for someone to read and not let this happen to them.

I had a car repossessed and THAT ended THAT ( It was in Texas too)

AUTHOR: Joe - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Monday, January 12, 2009

I got an on the job injury and was unable to make my car payments because the sorry employer did NOT have the State required Worker's Compensation Insurance ( How was I to know, this woman was a world-class LIAR) and I wasn't able to work so I lost my car.

It stopped running anyway.

I TOLD THE people to come and get it that I had been hurt on the job and so they came and they took it.

AND I KEPT GETTING BILLS FOR IT AND THE THREATS AND THE INTIMIDATION BUT AFTER I HAD MY HOME PHONE SHUT OFF, I DIDN'T GET THE CALLS ANYMORE.

AND I DIDN"T PAY THEM A DIME BECAUSE WHEN THEY TOOK THE CAR BACK, THAT WAS THE END OF THAT. IT WAS THE FIRST TIME IN MY LIFE I HAD EVER HAD A CAR REPOSSESSED AND MAYBE THEY CAN AFFORD TO FIX IT UP BECAUSE I COULDN'T AND IT WAS SUBJECT TO RECALL AND I DIDN'T KNOW UNTIL AFTER THEY TOOK IT.

I STILL NEVER PAID THEM AND MAYBE I GOT A BAD CREDIT REPORT I DON'T KNOW BECAUSE I USUALLY PAY CASH.

NOTHING HAPPENED TO ME AND I LIVE IN TEXAS TOO.

JUST TELL THEM WHEN THEY CALL THAT THEY HAVE THEIR OVERPRICED JUNKER BACK AND THEY MADE ENOUGH MONEY OFF OF YOU AND MAYBE THEY CAN FIX IT UP AND SELL IT TO SOME OTHER FOOL.

THEN GET AN ANSWERING MACHINE, SCREEN YOUR CALLS OR GET AN UNPUBLISHED, UNLISTED NUMBER AND STOP THE NONSENSE ONCE AND FOR ALL./

They took advantage of me. (FORGERY)I was an easy target, and I don't have finances for a lawyer.

AUTHOR: K. Durante - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Thursday, January 08, 2009

I understand. I wish I knew about this site before I bought a car in 2007 (mainly for my mother) from a dealership that used drive financial to finance cars. Certain parts of my application was forged, and my interest rate was high.
The car was supposed to be $14,000, but after drive financial was done figuring out how they were going to screw me, it was 18% interest and over $17,000 with a $1,000 rebate down payment, and the car looks like it's only worth $8,000. Right now I still have the car in my possession, because between the dealer and drive financial, someone screwed me over, and I'm working on finding a lawyer.
At this moment I don't have a job' I lost it a few months after I bought the car', I have bad credit 'after I just started it a few months before buying the car', and I'm only 23. Drive financial has caused me so much pain with the harassing calls. I don't understand why they financed me for a car when they wouldn't finance me before at the same dealership. I asked for a used car, and the dealer got me in this mess. He knew we desperately needed a car, because my mother got into an accident with the car she was borrowing and totaled it. I admit I know nothing about buying cars, but I trusted the dealership, and Drive.F not to take advantage of me. I guess I was an easy target.

You shouldn't have bought the car

AUTHOR: Dave - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, November 22, 2008

I agree, you shouldn't have bought a car you could not afford. As for the repo they are in the right to repo it if you were past due. If you were behind by several payments making one payment is not going to bring you up to date. As for the balance. the other poster is right. they sold the car and the difference is what you owe this balance most likely covers any reconditioning plus fees they had to pay to reclaim the vehicle

Why

AUTHOR: Resty - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, August 23, 2008

You KNEW you made 8 bucks an hour......you KNEW you couldnt afford that car...why did you sign the contract agreeing to pay for it? HOW are they ripping you off by repossessing the car? You failed to fulfill your end of the contract so it stands to reason they'd repossess it.

I agree they shouldnt have been rude......but they get sick of all the excuses people offer up for not paying their d**n bills. They've heard it all and I doubt very seriously that they care why you dont make payments....they arent in the habit of not making money.

It is customary for them to repossess a vehicle.....sell it at auction and then bill you for the difference. They need to recoup their losses too!!!!

NO rip off here
