This company kept our credit card information on file and accidentally "merged" our account with another, causing our credit card to be billed.  Though we have been issued a refund (more details on that below), the lack of credit card security from this firm is troublesome at best, and fraudulent at worst.

We ordered a piece of equipment from this company at the beginning of August.  We did not request our information be kept on file, nor were we informed that it would be kept on file.  We had no intention of placing regular orders with this company, as they were just the company with the best deal at the time.

Since we ordered from them we have received a number of calls from their sales department offering to send us a large number of electrodes.  Despite numerous assurances to the company that we would never be able to use the quantity they were offering any time in the next 10 years, they kept calling and calling.  Finally we had to ask them to remove us from their calling list (after which they kept calling until we threatened to complain to the FCC).  

Today we found a charge to our credit card - $125!!  When we contacted the company listed for the charge (Direct Electrodes & Tens), we were connected with a sales representative from DSM!  During this call we were informed that our credit card information had been kept on file and accidentally "merged" with another account which had placed an order yesterday.  We were told that this is something which "happens occasionally" (!!!)

While we tried to deal with this company I spoke with a customer service representative named Dexter (who I now see is a regularly referred to bad employee).  Dexter was not only quite rude and not only refused to answer any questions or have our call transferred to a supervisor, but hung up on me 3 times before we were able to contact a manager.  The manager explained that it isn't their policy to keep customer information on file, but that sometimes it is kept anyway!  I feel that this is a direct violation of credit card security protocols and filed a complaint with the FTC.

I really just want to warn all companies who try to do business with DSM to STAY AWAY.  We chose to order from them because they were only slightly cheaper than Meyers and WHAT A MISTAKE.
