Duane Collins Guilty of deceiving potential tenants Waxahachie Texas

Mr. Duane Collins, owns rental property. Italked to him about renting one of his properties. He would not allow me to look at it first. So being trusting of him since he was a professor at a CHRISTIAN college, I finally agreed to sign the rental agreement (and pay the requested deposit), site unseen. Upon getting the key and inspecting the property, I learned that the property is not up to code. In fact the property is un-inhabitable.

Within a couple of days after signing the rent agreement, I contacted him asking for a refund of her 500.00 deposit and he refused, over and over again.

He is someone who makes claims to be a Christian and teaches Christian values to others is certainly not showing a Christian attitude, in addition to breaking laws by renting a house in that condition as well as not allowing me to view the property before asking me to sign a lease and taking advantage of me (a single mom) being in a venerable situation.

All I want is to get my deposit refunded.
