#1 UPDATE Employee
User is almost definitely a victim of a phishing scam
AUTHOR: Dustin Luther - (United States of America)
SUBMITTED: Tuesday, February 19, 2013
Over President's Day weekend, a spammer sent out a large number of emails purporting to come from D&B (alert@dnb.com) that were illegitimate and alleged that a complaint requiring prompt action had been made against the recipient. These emails contained the Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. logo and contact information. Dun & Bradstreet Credibility Corp. has no relation to these emails and our name and logo were being used illegitimately.
Because the spammer sent out so many emails, we posted an update on our website that includes ways you can check if the email was legitimate: http://blog.dandb.com/2013/02/19/customer-complaint-email-dnb/
D&B also posted a notice on their website: http://www.dnb.com/company/important-notice.html
Also worth noting, there was malware attached to the email that was sent out by the spammer, so if you did open the attachment, then you will want to work with your desktop support team to ensure no malware has been added to your computer.
