This is too funny. Hey Dustin, how's things? I see you've been busy responding to this post I put up awhile back.  Glad to hear you're doing so well for yourself.  Anyway, I'm not all that mad about the situation anymore - at the time it really bothered me that someone could even act this way in a contractual negotiation, but I've moved on and so should you.

How about the real story...

Jonathan Gougeon had a 5pm appointment to come to my office to sign a lease. We scheduled for 5pm because I had to leave at 6pm (when our office closes) to see my newborn daughter. Jonathan shows up at 6:15 (over an hour late) using profane language about the traffic and how long it took him to get to my office. I told him that we would have to re-schedule because I had to leave but he insisted (profanely at a very high decibel) that he just traveled all the way here and he had to sign the lease. I obliged but I could not even get through the first line of the addendum (where it states that you have to put the Gas and Electric in your name). Jonathan slouched back in his seat, crossed his arms, and sucked his teeth. He then said, "I didn't know there was going to be all of these rules and sh*t." To which I replied, "How about you take home the rules & regulations, read them over, and if you still want to live at this property we can do the lease signing at another time when you are not in such a bad mood."

Jonathan did not like that idea and he flipped out. He was flailing his arms, swearing, and making offensive gestures as I escorted him to the exit.

It was Jonathan that was late, cursing, being vulgar, and stinking up my office (he smelled very badly of body odor, cigarette smoke, and perhaps other substances of an illegal nature).

I was completely shocked when I saw this posting that he wrote about our encounter. Now that I know what a lying deadbeat he is I would not rent to Jonathan Gougeon, I would not do business with him or use his services at www.jongougeon.com, I would not befriend him, I would surely not trust him.

I am sincerely sorry that this is what your perspective was from our interaction on May 16th 2011. I always try to treat people with the respect and dignity that I would want myself.  It is not my intention to start anything negative. I hope that you were able to find a place to live and I wish you all the best.
