Don't go near this place! Bought a car from them, it needed a repair almost immediately. So we fixed it, no complaining, just did it. About 4 months after we bought it we decided to move out of state. With no time to sell it we called the dealership and they said they would put it on consignment. Big mistake. They said they would take about 1,000$ for fees associated with selling it, our return would be about 5,500-6,000$ about a month after moving it was sold, but the owner then told us that we would only be receiving $ 1,700!!! The reason stated was that they had to do many repairs to get it sold! Keep in mind we just purchased this vehicle from them no more than 6 months prior and it needed $4,000 worth of repairs?! They basically stole our car from us!! It may not be much money for a greasy car dealer but it's a lot for a family on a fixed budget. After the owner hung up on my husband we called back, when I mentioned bad reviews he said he could always tack on more fees so we wouldn't even get the $1,700, UNBELIEVABLE.... I wish I had read some of the other complaints online about them before doing any business with them, but it's too late now. Do yourself a favor and look elsewhere.

Also they have fake yelp reviews on their web page, isn't that a form of fraud?

Also found Stephan Condodemetraky of Dusty Old Cars to be unscrupulous

AUTHOR: Screwed in Michigan - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, August 25, 2015

Dusty Old Cars purchased a vehicle from our company (which we had taken as a deposit on a home), SOLD the vehicle, and refused to pay us.   Claimed the car had rust - and used the EXACT SAME photos on another claim with another victim that I found on line.    Offered us $500.00 instead of the $2,200.00.

Until we get our money, I will continue to search for reports against them and contribute.    Here is the statement he made to us - and he has a great colletion of legal letters ready to bring suit -   "Additionally, we found that we lost our first transaction today as a result of the malicious and inaccurate statements made online regarding our company. We had been prepared to file the lawsuit today, but will be amending the filing to include this loss as well.

Stephan Condodemetraky

President"

Do NOT sell to him using American Express via Paypal.  American Express will ALWAYS stand by their customer and allowed him to receive a full refund, even though Paypal had sided with us and EVEN THOUGH HE ALREADY SOLD THE CAR!!!

Good luck dealing with them.   Check out his name via Google...you'll find plenty of other reports.

Just A Few Thoughts

AUTHOR: Jim - (USA)

POSTED: Monday, March 16, 2015

I viewed their website and I was clearly impressed by the site's quality and easy navigation.  Their very well documented, by pictures, presentation of each car was quite refreshing!  If this dealership is as above board as they say they are, I wish they would relocate to Florida!

However a few points remain.  Although I do not know the specifics of the complainer's case beyond what they have written here, I've seen enough from both the website and the dealer's responses here which warrant comment on my part.

First, the dealership representative said here "we don't do this very often" in regards to selling on consignment.  However, there are at least two "buttons" on the website which clearly indicate they do take cars on consignment.

Secondly and most importantly, the dealership representative makes comments about the "BBB", their "rating" and their "accreditation".  This dealership could very well be one of the most honest on the east coast...however...the "BBB" stuff provokes another set of initials "BS"!  Let us hope this dealership is run on business integrity and honesty.  If so, it would ONLY be because they chose to do business that way and NOT because the "BBB" says so.  Let's make it perfectly clear, the "BBB" is NOT some type of government entity and the "BBB" has absolutely, positively ZERO POWER to do anything!  Any businessman who has had their door open for one day knows...FOR A FACT...the "BBB" is nothing more than a shakedown scam operation.  Any business can get any PHONEY RATING they want by PURCHASING it!  Any business can PAY for a "BBB" membership and display the emblem WITHOUT REGARD to their business ethics or reputation.  The "BBB" will sell these PHONEY RATINGS from one side of their mouth and from the other side make the statement "the "BBB" does not endorse any business"!  So then, if the "BBB" knows a business is so honest, why won't they endorse them???  The answer is quite, quite obvious...they themselves know their PHONEY accreditations are simply that...as phoney as a three dollar bill.  Their con-game is to convince the public they are part of a government body and their BOGUS accreditation carry some weight.  They don't...ANYBODY CAN BUY ONE!  If their M. O. was NOT to deliberately deceive and defraud, then why do they call themselves "the bureau"???  Want more information?  Go to YouTube and search for "BBB deception" or any combination thereof.  Wait until you see how they sold their PHONEY garbage to a business which was deliberately set up to prove the above points.  The "name" of the business was "Hamas" which is a middle east terrorist organization!  Bottom line here?  The BBB is worthless.  ANYBODY can buy ANY PHONEY RATING they want!

Let us hope the dealership is a cut above the rest in the Sleazy American Car Business.  Let us also realize their are people who also have legitimate complaints and there are those who will deliberately set out to defame a good business for some sick, sorry "getting even" immature crap.  "Crap"?  Yes, crap.  That's all the BBB is!

There's a difference between slander and opinion.

Dusty Old Cars is really grasping at straws now. Good luck with your "slander" case sir. Unfortunately your legal threats will not deter me from stating my opinion and experience at your establishment. Never in my life have i had such a problem with a business. If you are unhappy with negative views on the Internet perhaps you should try being a professional and address the concerns of your customers instead of trying to threaten them into silence, first it was additional fees and now a slander lawsuit. I very much look forward to seeing you in court though, please by all means let me know if you need a mailing address or any other information.

More Misleading Information - DO NOT BELIEVE THESE PEOPLE - We are bringing a lawsuit against them for Slander

It recently came to our attention that there is an individual that claims we sold him a vehicle and that it needed work.

Lets set the record straight.

This person did not buy a car from us, he or his wife, whom are both Bill Collectors, received a Honda CRV as part of a settlement for bills they were trying to collect.

They came here to trade us the car, which we thought had a clear title, but we found out later that it did not.

We traded a great running and driving 1975 Buick Regal for the CRV that they represented that they had good title to.  They took the car, it had a 455 V8, and beat the baloney out of the car, it had so much rubber inside the fender wells that we had to pry it out.

They then brought the car here and asked us to sell it on consignment.  We knew the car and agreed to take it, we do not do this very often.

We did a full state inspection and found that they had almost run the car out of oil, that the tranmission was slipping, and that the basically damaged the engine so much that it needed a full rebuild.

Mr. Charles Scott and his wife are frauds and are trying to decieve you!

Check the facts with the Better Business Bureau, we have an A+ rating, we are one of only a few Fully Accredited Car Dealers.

Don't beleive the fraud, check the facts.

1. We buy and sell 30-40 cars each month and have nothing short of a cult following and our reputation is nothing short of excellent.  We have grown from 2 cars to 250 in less than 5 years, you can't do that by trying to mislead people, we do not do this.

2. When we sell a car we FULLY AND COMPLETELY disclose any and all issues associated with the car, please see ANY of the vehicles on our website, dustyoldcars.com.

3. We offer a 100% money back guarantee if the car is misrepresented, this means if we missed something then the car is coming back to us.

Astonishing response from "business owner"

AUTHOR: Renee.M.S - ()

POSTED: Tuesday, February 17, 2015

First of all, I am not a bill collector as you claim, i'm a chef....though im not sure what that has to do with this. Secondly can you please explain what you mean by "recieved a CRV as part of a settlement for bills we were trying to collect." Sir, this makes no sense I purchased the CRV with cash from the Mercedes Benz dealership in Manchester NH. As for your next lie, it did in fact have a clean title which would be more than easy to prove. Last time I looked at your webpage you had that CRV listed for apx. $8,000 so in return we should have recieved a car that did not need work done on it almost immediatly, which we do have reciepts for. You also claim that we "beat the baloney out of the car" unfortunatly for you this lie is not going to get you anywhere because we have pictures of the condition of the car when we recieved it from you and when gave it back to you. We barely drove that car, it was not a commuter it sat in the driveway most of the time we had it, because my husband was scared of the salt on the road damaging the paint. Yea we really did a number on it, sorry to say whatever condition you found it in was the condition it was in when you sold it to us(minus the repairs we hadto make). Also, you had this car for a month, why is it you never contact with us to approve these said repairs? Instead you waited until there was nothing we could do about it before you told us! As for the BBB, you have an A- rating (for now) not an A+ and maybe the lack of negative reviews has something to do with you calling your customers up and threatening them to take down their reviews as you did with us this very morning. To be honest we have already filed a complaint with the BBB and they will be looking into this scam. Buyers beware, there are so many honest dealerships that you can do business with, don't bother with them. I also have no reason to contiue an online debate with you as I am currently seeking legal intervention on this matter.

And for future reference do not call our phone again in reference to the reviews I post online regarding my personal opinions and experiance at your business, as we will consider it harassment.
