I had ordered several boxes of premium cigars from this website because their webiste advertised cuban cigars for sale at very attractive prices. Little did I know that I was in for a nightmare. I had placed 2 orders in late June and early July.

A person called Damian, emailed me and claimed that in order to process the order, he needed my personal details, to prove that I am the owner of the credit card. I had first sent him a scan copy of my passport with my photo ID, that was not enough, because I am a Singaporean living in China, he wanted evidence to show that I was living in China. so, I had to send my driver's license and a copy of my personal insurance statement, which showed where I lived. (I feel really stupid now thinking about it).

Over the course of 3 mths, we exchanged about 174 emails, many of them chasing him for delivery. Initially, these emails were for him to continuly requesting for documentation to prove my identification because he stated that my orders were large and costly to him. I regularly purchase cigars online from other retail stores without any incident.

One of my orders finally arrived after 2 mths. The other order remains lost or not delivered. When I asked him for evidence of delivery, he sends me an email from his drop shipper, instead of a scanned postal shipping notice or courier notice with tracking number. AND he has the cheek to quote his policy online and claim that unless I can provide PROOF OF NON DELIVERY, he will not be able to reship or do anything. How do you provide evidence of a non event?

I am very disappointed with this shop, as he keeps using tactics to reassure me that the shipment is on the way, but nothing concrete to show that he has actually shipped.

Recently, he has stopped replying to my emails.

Stores like Cubanlous.com are very reputable. However dutyfreecubancigars.com is not ONE of those. AVOID this store at all costs. PURCHASE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

EVEN if they finally ship to you, the shopping experience will leave a very sour taste on your tongue.
