I looked online to buy cigarettes. I saw dutyfreeonline.com. I know duty free when you go abroad and figured this was just the online version. I emailed the company before ordering as the price sounded too good to be true. I told them i was in the UK and would i have to pay any extra and at the time the customer service i thought was amazing i was completely reassured and on 01/02/2014 i placed my order

 I was told 10-21 days for delivery. I was starting to wonder where they were when on Thurs 26th Februry i receive a letter from 'Border Force' to tell me that my cigarettes had been seized and that i would have to pay £47 (approx) if i wanted my goods but would have to write a letter first to claim and they would consider it although their general policy is not to return seized things

 I contacted duty free online who said they take no responsibility for seized goods, as a good customer they would try to send again (what is the point in this as they will just get seized again!) but after that they cannot try any more

 I am outraged as i believe dutyfreeonline should have had the responsibility of being genuine and thus informing customers of correct prices and if there is a likelihood of goods being seized. They knew my address was in the UK, and even more so that they reassured me before even placing my order to make me feel like they care. I have also read since then that the goods they send are actually fake! Therefore they are misrepresenting themsleves online.

 I will take this case as far as i can to stop other people from being ripped off. I just asked for a refund for goods not received and am very upset with the response.
