On Nov 26, 2007 I ordered the complete Little House on the Prairie series from DVD Donkey.
In December, I realized I never received the order, so after some investigation realized I never received confirmation and there was no charge to my credit card from DVD Donkey. I called the contact telephone number listed on the website, but it was late and operators were unavailable. On December 21, I decided I must not have finalized the order and after checking once more for e-documentation, repeated the order.
On December 29 at 6:31 a.m. DVD Donkey confirmed my December 21 order and stated it would be "shipped" soon. at 6:40 a.m. DVD Donkey sent me an e-mail confirming my order of November 26th. A few hours later a shipping confirmation for the November order was posted.
When I retrieved my e-mail the evening of 12/29, and read all three messages I immediately replied asking for cancellation of the December 21 order. I called the toll-free customer service number repeatedly with no success of talking to a person. I used the "live chat" with no success.
On January 2, I received the DVDs of the first order. The envelope that they arrived in was overfilled and was torn in many places. The DVD cases were broken. The label on each DVD is identical other than the season number, and looks as though it were printed on a color ink-jet printer. There is the title "Little House on the Prairie" and a few poor-quality photos. There is no copyright information at all on the labels.
The DVDs themselves are not better. Some were scratched. They have white labels with the title printed in black Times New Roman font and the disc number.
We watched the first video to observe the quality of the video before we made our final judgment. The DVD play quality is very poor. There are skips and the digitization is pixilated on a frequent regular basis.
I then "Spammed" the DVD Donkey e-mail and web contact, copying and pasting my complaint about 30 times and sent it over and over until I received a reply on January 3 stating that they would refund the purchase price of the duplicate order, but not shipping and handling of about $30. They didn't ship or handle anything!
