Dynasty Sales - Ken Kanter Experience stolen and forged checks Lakebay, Washington

On July 6, 2009, two young guys knocked on my door. They said they were selling books to earn points to go on a trip.  One guy claimed his aunt lived in the yellow house across the street (not true).

I wrote them a $49 check (made out to "Dynasty"). After I heard from a neighbor that the two guys were con-artists, and the book-sale was a scam, I went to my bank and stopped payment on the check.

When I got my bank statement on August 18, there were four forged checks (totaling $539) which I did not write. The handwriting and signature was not even close to my own. Three of the checks were made out to "Dynasty"; and the fourth was made out
to "Experience".

Apparently, while one of the two guys diverted my attention, the other one had managed to steal five blank checks from my checkbook.

I went to my bank again, filed a check fraudulent claim, put a freeze on my account, and opened a new one.  Next I called the police and filed a report.

My situation seems very similar to some I have seen on your ripoff report.
