Please know the facts as you are hurting an INNOCENT company.

AUTHOR: Eagle Van Lines - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, May 19, 2007

Dear Sharon,

We always encourage our customers to educate themselves before they hire a mover. In fact, it makes it easier for us to do our job because the customer has more information and feels less vulnerable during this very stressful event in their life.

Eagle Van Lines must address, however, that the person you name in your rebuttal "Ilan Eli (Pahima) Navon" is NOT THE SAME owner of our company. Our President, Mr. Ilan Navon has never operated a moving company called Classic International or any other company out of New York City. Eagle Van Lines has no business relationship with this company and is not even aware of your information. Furthermore, please be advised that there are many moving companies in the United States who share the same name as ours, and we are not affiliated with any of them, including their operations, people or violations.

Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Sincerely,
Eagle Van Lines

We can't stop these lies...But PLEASE READ THIS!

AUTHOR: Eagle Van Lines - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Saturday, May 19, 2007

Dear Sharon,

We are sorry and regret that you have bought into all this too.

Eagle Van Lines is a reputable company that takes great care to ensure that our customers are satisfied with our services, and so on this occasion when we have discovered this complaint at RipOffReport.com, please be assured that we have investigated the complaint thoroughly and reviewed all the facts involved.

We are greatly disturbed to have determined that the same author of this complaint has posted three false rip-off reports against our company within the same week under three different pretenses. With all three complaints, we have no records of these customers and subsequently, have no moving contracts on file for the moving services they claim to have received from Eagle Van Lines.

Due to the serious harm and alleged extortion of these reports, Eagle Van Lines will aggressively work to track and identify this author and seek damages for, including litigation and injunction, and will work with all other innocent companies that are recipients of these fake reports.

It is not surprising, that the author of these reports, acted like our customers, and offered up these damaging testimonials about how our company has ripped them off only on an open public forum such as this. This author helpfully points out that all of the people working for our company are crooks and felons. You (the general public and potential customers) are lead to believe that these comments on RipOffReport.com, supposedly a public service consumer site, are unbiased and, therefore, truthful.

Eagle Van Lines cannot have these reports removed, even when there is absolutely no truth to the matter. We will not answer again to these reports as they open doors to a forum that is not regulated and the authors are free to posts lies without any substantial evidence. We can only ask the general public to educate themselves, and request that you contact the Regulated Business Unit of Consumer Affairs of the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General at 973-504-6512 and find out the real truth: Eagle Van Lines has a CLEAN record and NO complaints! We are a member in good standing with the NJ Warehousemen & Movers Association and have no code of ethics violations. We strictly comply with all other State requirements and Federal Regulatory requirements. And yes, these are the organizations that matter or we could not even be in business.

Again, feel free to say what you want to say, but this is the last time Eagle Van Lines will waste our time on these matters as our main focus is to provide our customers with the utmost care and professional moving service in a time when they need it most.

Thank you for your time.
Sincerely,
Eagle Van Lines

I don't doubt that the original post is a fake, I can think of a few Ronens in LA who run moving companies.

However, I do find great irony in the fact that you used ths sentence:

"The moving industry, unfortunately, is filled with some "fly-by-night" scammers that are willing to deceive people and make millions of dollars before closing up shops."

...since that is exactly what the owner of Eagle Van Lines, Ilan Eli (Pahima) Navon, did back when he ran Classic International out of New York City. Racked up the complaints, then changed names. There's STILL complaints on file at the BBB under that name. As for complaints, the two agencies you listed are not the ones people look to for complaints.

Ron IS correct above where he state Eagle Van Lines was fined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration, in a press release dated May 7, 2005. The fine of $12,500, was it paid? And this was in addition to the almost $5000 fine given by the DOT on March 20, 2006 for failing to test your drivers for various safety issues.

I'm all for caring about your customers, but lying to the public is not the way to show you're a good company.

In response to this "bogus" report, and the fictitious information submitted by this author, Eagle Van Lines encourages our potential customers to educate themselves fully before choosing their mover. We strongly request that you contact the New Jersey Office of the Attorney General, the Regulated Business Unit of Consumer Affairs at 973-504-6512 to confirm our CLEAN record with NO complaints.

The moving industry, unfortunately, is filled with some "fly-by-night" scammers that are willing to deceive people and make millions of dollars before closing up shops. They will prey on unsuspecting customers and tell them anything they want to hear just to get the jobs, including unwarranted criticism and fabrication of their competition. These movers want to ruin the reputation of the many legitimate, reliable companies like ourselves, who must follow strict and high standards to better serve the general public.

Eagle Van Lines wants to help change the negative public perception of the moving industry by telling you that the vast majority of household good movers that are in this business are conscientious, reputable and hardworking members of their community. We are law-abiding, taxpaying movers, and we are top professionals at what we do. Our companies have employees that are experienced and qualified, and are quality, family people in our industry.

The bottom line is that Eagle Van Lines CARES about the people we serve. Because of our commitment to excellence and our hard efforts over the years to earn great satisfaction with our customers, it is disappointing that we must have to address these false accusations.
