Everyone needs to be warned that Ken Joyner of East TN Graphics in Elizabethton, TN is a con. We hired him to complete an e-commerce site. Upon hiring Mr. Joyner we interviewed him. He stated that he had completed multiple e-commerce sites and also had completed multiple mobile friendly sites. Our number #1 criteria for hiring a web designer was based on the experience they had designing a mobile friendly site. We were promised that the site would be completed within 4 weeks, one month free seo, social media set up included, a top notch mobile friendly version, and a complete training session of how to operate the site along with 6 months of training on the operations side of the site. We signed a contract toward the end of july, with of course half the money up front. We also paid him for three months in advance of SEO services with one month promised for free.

From that point on he was very non-responsive. For the first month he hardly touched the site. When he needed more money he rushed the site together and called for a final meeting. When we met he had 60% of the site complete and wanted us to pay him the rest of the money. He stated that he was broke and couldn't afford to buy his medications. We gave him half of the remaining balance with the understanding that the site would be complete 100% within one week. Two weeks later he called and said the site was complete. When we met for the final meeting, again, he tried to charge us for setting up the Facebook page which was included in the original deal. We of course didn't pay him. He also didn't upload products which he promised to do. He said it would take him too long. We noticed several problems with the site that could have been fixed in a few hours, and he said that he was going to fix some guys car and as soon as he got home he would fix the site. Yes, our web developer showed up with grease all over him and dirty clothes like he hadn't bathed in weeks. After two weeks, he still hadn't fixed those issues.

Once we started uploading products we noticed that the mobile version was not functional. He said that he would switch templates and that would fix the problem. Well after he switched templates he crashed the site. The 200 plus products that we had uploaded had all been removed and we had to do it all over again which took 19 hours to complete. He apologized on the phone and said that he would upload all of our products for us. Before he got off the phone, which was 20 min, he went from uploading all of our products that he lost to saying he'll upload half and we can upload half and that he would do it in between other project then he tried to convince us to upload them ourself which we said no you need to do your job. At this point this 4 week project has already turned into 8 weeks and he still hasn't fixed the issues we discussed two weeks prior. He never uploaded the products and we had to do it ourselves. During that phone conversation he admitted to lying about creating a mobile version for an e-commerce site and that he didn't know how to do it. That was the last that we heard from him! He never returned our calls or emails from this point until we hired an attorney.

We went 6 weeks without hearing from Mr. Ken Joyner and had to let him know that we were hiring an attorney before that con artist would even respond to an email. He then installed the same exact mobile version onto our site! The same mobile version that didn't work to begin with! The same mobile version that he said should have worked and he couldn't understand why it didn't work! After he re-installed  the no-functional mobile version he then sent us directions on how to operate the site. The directions that he sent was a forum from the website that he bought the template from! A FORUM!!! I paid for a forum! We are sitting here with thousands of dollars worth of inventory that we can't sell because we can't advertise and promote the website because the site is not functional. We went through the desktop version and replaced the "sample texts" in 50% of all menu options because he never did it. This guys has cost us thousands of dollars!!!!

The SEO services that he half performed were horrible! He told us he completed seo services for the month of august. He started on the last day of August which is not even a month and told us that August is our free month, and September, October, and November are our three months that we paid for. He also told us that he submitted 25 keywords. Truth is he submitted 2 and those were not even beneficial. He is the ultimate rip off. Once we hired an attorney it was uncovered that Mr. Joyner was arrested in 2012 for stealing money from the Boy Scouts. He was there troop leader and he stole money from them. Over $1,200.00! His excuse was that Boy Scout debit card looked just like his debit card! He used the money to buy product for a pyramid scheme and paid for advertising on myspace for that pyramid scheme. What a real peice of work!

We got took to the cleaners by this guy. Don't be his next victim! Run from Ken Joyner. He is a criminal, a con man, a fraud....Don't make the same mistake that we made! Trust me, it will cost a fortune in attorney fee's and he doesn't have a dime to his name. Judgements do not pay if the peice of crap doesn't have cash flow nor a care in the world about his credit report.

East Tennessee Graphics - Contract Fulfilled

AUTHOR: Ken Joyner - (USA)

POSTED: Tuesday, March 24, 2015

I have previously done business with Joshua Irick and contracted with him to build a website for an agreed amount.  This contract clearly stated what was to be done and what was included with the website design.  I have fulfilled my obligation outlined in the contract.  I have clients that I have done business with prior to and after Joshua Irick's website and all will provide a positive feedback as to my crediblility of delivering the end product(s).

A word about Joshua Irick - it seems that he is used to getting what he wants by issuing threats to all who oppose him and doesn't do things exactly as he wants them done.  We signed a binding contratc together and I have met my obligation outlined therein.  Best of luck to you in your future enevors, God bless.
