I find this company to be a total ripe off. After never having to make a claim, and almost at the end of what was suppose to be coverage. I had to major repairs. Oil pump replacement, which I had done as soon as the oil and engine lights came on. I my mechanic made a call to easycare and was informed it wasn't covered. I called and recieved the same information. As was told if I could present all the service records for the car since purchased date , maybe. Well whiling some of the records I don't have all the records. my fault I guess.
After that repair was completed and I paid the mechanic close to $900 out of pocket. It was discoved that I needed a cam adjuster, the part alone is around $600 and then the dealer ia telling me it will be six to nine hours labor charge. So I called Easycare once again to be told , you guessed it not covered. So I paid around around $1300 for a three year extended warranty, that isn't worth the paper its written on.
When I spoke to the local Audi dealership I was told by the service manager that he didn't care for Easycare and their polices and this is why they no longer sold their policys at they dealership. Which by the way is the same dealership [Winner Audi of Wilmington Delaware] that talked me into buying the service contract to begin with. So basically any problem I've had with my Audi where not covered by zeasycare ripe off, yet you readily accepted my $1300 for bogus coverage. I will never again subscribe to this company and we advise friends, church members and co-workers not to waste they money. I also will be writing the state Attorney General office and Better Business Bureau

#1 UPDATE EX-employee responds
prior authorization

The oil pump and cam adjusters are covered under all levels of coverage, unless the proper protocols are not followed when filing a claim on the contract:
First, it appears that the repairs were already performed and called in later for reimbursement; no prior authorization is the first exclusion from coverage.
Second, complete oil change records would be required since these parts are internally lubricated, and/or physical inspection to determine if the failure is caused by maintenence issues such as sludge, varnish, or lack of lubrication.
If the repairs were done first and called in later, then the contracts right to inspect the vehicle had been lost and is complete grounds for denial.
Its not a simple yes or no answer. There are many variables that were considered before any claim for a covered part could be denied.
