Eatibe Delights Catering David Simms Breached the contract; Mr. Simms is arrogant, deceptive and not pleasant to deal with Philadelphia, PA, Internet

We hired Eatible Delights/David Simms to cater a Christmas party for our friends and family.  We found them on the Internet and read a few testimonials (I think they probably made them up themselves or maybe they do a good job sometimes) and decided to call to see if they do tastings.  We were told that a tasting costs $50 and if they were hired to do the job, that would just go towards the costs.  Okay.  Great.  We decided to go for a tasting and the food was great and we contracted with them for a party of 55 guests. 

The day of the party, we received a call informing us they would be late, and they ended up arriving at 5:30, instead of the agreed-upon 4:35 time they told us they would arrive; needless to say, guests were arriving as the caterers were arriving and even helped them with their things, which was unacceptable.  David Simms was very unappologetic and he just overall has a very arrogant and nasty attitude.

We were supposed to have (and paid extra for) lollipop lambchops as one of our appetizers, which cost more than some other appetizers we had to choose from, and we got, instead, some big piece of lamb which looked more like more a big neckbone and a meal in and of itself, rather an appetizer, which was embarrasing, because even a person who has never had lollipop lambchops before would have know that that was too big to be an appetizer.  His explanation of why this was:  This is a better cut or some poor excuse he gave.

They didn't have the appropriate number of appetizers per guests.  We were not provided everything we were supposed to have, i.e., no salad for 55 ppl, no iced tea for 55ppl, no crustinis for the spinach dip (how do you eat spinach dip without something the dip in it with).  The hor'derves were supposed to be butlered and only the cold (supposed to be hot) crab balls were butlered.  And as I mentioned, David Simms never apologized for anything!!!!

To top everything off, the server and barmaid was tipped very well, which wouldn't have happened if we had know David Simms was going to go so far as to disprect us and tell us there would be a final invoice sent...mind you, we paid in full before the event and this is what made us livid.

I will say the food was pretty good, but we will never...ever, ever...hire this company again.  The fact that he thought he was going to get more money out of us, when they didn't even fulfill the contract, and the contract was paid in full, was just beyond anything we could have imagined.  We called him afterwards to express our concerns, and guess what?  He, himself, still very unappologetic.... I could on about this man, but I will leave it at that.
