I was suspended from listing on ebay due to the fact that I unknowingly listed a forged autographed photo of a football star and the listing was removed. I was not going to relist it as this news was previously unknown to me. To make things more frustrating, this autograph was originally purchased on ebay. Ebay claims that they are trying to protect the consumer from getting an unauthentic product. But where were they when I purchased it?

Ebay states that this was my second selling offense and that justifies an indefinite suspension and the only way that can be appealed is if the first suspension was retracted and the item in question was allowed to be relisted.

The previous so-called infraction was removed because the listing was for a complete series of VHS tapes that featured the early 80's TV show Knight Rider. These tapes I had purchased through Columbia House as part of their TV Classics program. All tapes were the original releases and not duplicates. I was allowed to relist after appealing the first suspension and the items were sold.

When this second suspension was put into place, ebay stated that since it is my second suspension that the action taken is unreviewable unless the first suspension was lifted due to ebay mistake, which it was.

I have brought this to ebay's attention over 20 times thrrough phone calls, e-mails and actual mailed letters. The e-mails were responded by automatic response e-mails, and when I called ebay, the girl I spoke with said that all the e-mails I had sent had been documented and responded to individually. However this was not true since each one was a general response letter and they all said the exact same thing.

When I asked to speak with someone in the appeals dept, she said that they dont have phones in that department and there is no way to reach them. She was overall very unhelpfull and all of her responses sounded as if they were read off of a cheat sheet. The only thing I got from her was the appeals mailing address, so I wrote 2 physical letters and that was over 6 months ago and niether letter recieved a response.

I did nothing wrong the first time I was suspended and I did nothing intentionally or knowingly wron the second time. I only feel that it would be proper for them to actually investigate this case.

I was an exemplary ebayer due to the fact that I had well over 700 positive feedbacks and absolutely no neutrals or negatives. That in itself should have raised a flag for them.
