I had done some shopping on EBAY july 2007, In August,
I moved out of my friends house, and no longer had access to a computer.

On September 17-19, Someone gained access to my account, Put an $1100.00 Camera up for auction, and sold it.
In November 2007, I get a phone call informing me of this transaction from a collection agency for ebay.
They wanted 51 dollars to pay for the
transaction fees. I said what do you mean, I havn't even been online since july. They said that thier records showed otherwise and that this was going to go on my credit. I asked what I sold, that I owed them money for, When they told me my jaw hit the floor. I told them it was fraud and someone must have broken into my account.
They said they would research this and get back to me, but they never did.

Next thing I know another agency is calling to collect this debt, and had no history of this, with the previous agency. I eventually paid the $51.00, just to get them off my back.

I did some research of my own, and finally got a hold of the buyer of this so called $1100.00 camera. Whom by the way, also had left me A+ feedback for this transaction.
When he finally got back to me, He told me, that he never bought this item, he never Bid on it, or even left feedback for it, and that he informed EBAY that the transaction never happened.
And that his account had also been broken into.

So, I"m out $51.00 to Ebay for nothing.
I know its only 51 Dollars, and that I could of gotten stuck with the bill for the price of the camera as well,But I'm not rich, If I where, I wouldn't have to shop for deals on Ebay.

Besides that, think about this, What if this happens to you...
And the Item Auctioned is a brand new Lotus???
How would you like to have to make good on that
I mean Ebay makes it really easy to contact them and disspute transactions, ever try calling them????
The collection agency couldn't even call them, They told me this.
So EBAYER BEWARE
