Ebay is the biggest scam on the internet. They allow people to send you bomb threats, leave vulgar feedbacks, and do all they can to cheat people out of money.

I have been dealing with them as a seller since Dec. 2005, and I have never seen such fraud and deception with any company this size. They make it so they you cannot call them. They threaten honest sellers who pay there fee's with suspension, and based on the word of 1 buyer I filed a unpaid item complaint against they suspended me for 7 days because he said i put him up to placing a high bid at the last second.

I pay $300. to $400.00 a month in fees to them, and the person who said this about me had a feedback of neg.2. he had never sold 1 item, or completed a transaction on any bid he placed, which was only 2.

I have well over 350 satisfied buyers and sellers since Dec. Also this guy is pro Osama Bin Laden, and he commented on how stupid Americans are, and this was all for eba to read, yet they did nothing to him. I feel we should move to file a class action suit against ebay for their terrible ethics violations, and violations of their own rules. I have built a customer base who will come with me to my own online store.

BOYCOTT EBAY!!

You are just like the jerks at ebay. I am not paronoid at all. I am angry at the way they take your money and allow the rules to be broken that they put in place. I WILL TYPE HOWEVER I WISH.

ebay has rules they should enforce

AUTHOR: David - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, June 07, 2006

DO YOU WORK FOR EBAY? I KNOW THAT EBAY AND PAYPAL ARE OWNED BY THE SAME GROUP, BUT PAYPAL HAS NEVER GIVEN ME A PROBLEM. EBAY HAS RULES AGAINST MAKING THREATS. I DID REPORT THIS TO LAW ENFORCEMENT, BUT EBAY SHOULD ENFORCE THEIR OWN RULES AGAINST THIS.

EBAY CLEARLY STATES THAT VULGAR LANGUAGE LEFT ON FEEDBACK IS AGAINST THEIR RULES, THEY DO NOT ENFORCE THAT, THEY STATE THAT THREATS OF BODILY HARM ARE AGAINST THEIR RULES, THEY DO NOT ENFORCE THAT. THEY ONLY ENFORCE RULES THAT MAY LAND THEM IN COURT. IF THEY CAN MAKE A PROFIT THEN THEY ARE HAPPY. I HAVE ABOUT 20 PEOPLE WHO SAID THEY DO NOT LIKE EBAY, AND WOULD GLADLY BUY FROM ME IF I OPENED MY OWN WEBSITE, AND THAT IS WHAT I DID. I WILL NOT DEAL WITH EBAY AGAIN.

First off you do realize Ebay owns Paypal right?

Second, a threat is something that you should take to law enforcement where that person lives, not Ebay.

rebuttal to complaint about ebay - Ebay does not enforce the rules for unpaid buyers, they allow threats

AUTHOR: David - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 06, 2006

First of all I am not a ebay Power Seller. Ebay does not enforce the rules for unpaid buyers, they allow threats of people saying they are going to send a mail bomb, but as long as that member pays the fee's they will allow hime to remain a member. I have been selling since December 2005 and I sell gold platinum and silver. When I make complaints to ebay they just send back form letters.

When I sent the threat of having a bomb mailed to my home, they called that phishing or spoof email. This was from a buyer who bought some gold and declined insurance. I had proof of shipping. I have a large amount of people who will buy from my website directly. Ebay charges such high fee's and for what?, nothing. All they do is offer a place to list your items, and they set a list of rules for everyone to follow, yet they do not enforce them.

Up until December I was a Naval Aviator and I have just retired from active service. I have invested in gold in the past 20 years along with other precious metals. I am sick of ebay wanting email headers and all of that stuff only not to even read them. It seems like the longer you are with them, the worse they are. If you like them stay there, as for me, I invested in my own site, and I do not care if I sell any gold or not. I have put up with my share a phantom bidders, and non paying bidders also. I just write them off. I leave a neg. feedback, and I had vulgar feedback left and it took 8 days to have that language removed.

Nothing was done to this member. Nothing was done with the member who threatened to send a bomb to my home. Ebay only cares about the dollar, they have no customer service at all, and they only enforce the rules if law enforcement becomes involved. I have never had any problems with paypal.

Hey Dave.. how about some detail?

AUTHOR: Adolph - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Tuesday, June 06, 2006

Your rant is about as difinitive as "how many pancakes does it take to cover a doghouse".
.
I've been active on E Bay since early 1999, and per my previous posts on E Bay and Pay Pal, I'm not totally enthralled with the pair myself.
.
Your quote:"I have built a customer base who will come with me to my own online store" puzzles me. Yeah, sure! There are hundreds of "Power Sellers" on E Bay who obviously would do just that if it were possible.
.
IMHO, vague, questionable entries such as your post serve only to dilute value and erode the legitimacy of the Ripoff Reports forum. I have been forced to deal with "no pay buyers" and "no ship sellers" on E Bay complete with the included complication of dealing with Pay Pal. I have previously detailed some of these pitfalls with E bay....that said..... The point of your post eludes me.
