Is anyone else sick of eBay's absolutely AWFUL customer service??? Their e-mail customer service reps send nothing but form letters and never do a single thing.
Their "operator" on theie telephone number is even worse!!! When you ask to speak to a live telephone rep, he transfers you to a looped recording telling you to go to the live help "chat" line (which doesn't work), which hangs up on you after 2 minutes. After being transfered to this line twice got this operator again and told him ***NOT*** to transfer me to this looped recording. He said eBay didn't have phone support, which is untrue (as they're required to by federal law) and told me to use the chat line. I explained it didn't work, and he said it worked fine. When i asked him to prove it, he just transferred me to the looped recording!!!! I called back one last time, and when he answered I told him I want to talk to his supervisor. You know what he told me??? "I'm the owner of the company!!" I asked him if he really was Pierre Omidyar, and he said it was none of my business, after which I asked for his real name and he again told me it was none of my (explitive) business. I told him to transfer me to his supervisor or I'd call the BBB, and he told me if I did my account would be removed from eBay!!! I then told him I'd drive to San Jose (I live only 90 minutes from there) and deal with this in person, and he told me if I did I'd get arrested and have to go to jail for LIFE!!! LOL. I then told him he was a liar. As soon as I said "liar", I was transferred to the looped recording about the chatline for the fourth time!!!
I've already called the BBB, I don't care if I lose my account. This kind of customer seervice is unacceptable and I'll never support a company who practices such ridiculous tactics!! I highly doubt Mr. Omidyar would be happy to know one of his employees impersonated him and made threats and cussed to one of his customers!!

eBay has to have one of the worst customer service departments ever. They are incompetent, unable to fix issues and pathetic.
If you have a serious complaint about an illogical policy or program, they will take your suggestion into consideration. But they won't fix it.
I have learned over the years to use feeBay as little as humanly possible and as a buyer even at that.
