ECMC Educational Credit Management Corporation :LIED TO ABOUT GRANTS, THEY SAY THEY WERE LOANS

I went to a small business college in NY State in 1985 for a year and a half.  My tuition was paid for by a TAPP and PELL Grant that I signed for, at least that is what I was told at the time.  I was a divorced, single mom on public assistance and was told that if I did not have a job or was going to school, all help would stop.  Years after I graduated, it took me two years to get FT work, I was contacted by ECMC to threaten me about a "Defaulted Student Loan", needless to say, was totally shocked, contacted them and explained about the grants.  Never got anything else from them, but Thirty-Two years later!!!! I am being garnished for this, I contacted the student loan debt relief people and this was handled, but then it started up again! ECMC had just changed companies, they do a doge every time you take care of things, what they do is totally illegal and they have to be stopped!  M  in CA
