I still have a 6,000 dollar bill when they took my taxes twice well over 12,000. My bill started out being 11,000.When I called the collection agency they sent it to. They have no record of me paying anything but i owe 6,000. If I didn't pay anything how did my bill drop from 11,000 to 6,000. I have a letter saying I am paid in full of this payment. I just want to keep my tax money next year so i can get stuff for my children. If they take this money from me again i am definitely going to court and getting my money back.

Problems with ECPI ? Here's the solution.

Listen Folks....I had all the problems in the world with ECPI for them claiming I owed a bill because of past due balance (in 2oo1). (12) yrs. later and ECPI was refusing to correct THEIR error....until TODAY when I contacted ECPI's President.
ECPI's Dir., Acct. Receivables Mgmnt ("Brenda Tyre") is a 1st Class snotty rude and condescending individual. SO, I fixed her problem and reported the issue to ECPI's President who was happy to resolve my complaint for the Financial Aid's (bogus) Billing Dept. ECPI's President sent me this email:
"Thanks for responding back to my email. I did have a chance to talk to our CFO and he validated the balance was correct but did not have access to all of the billing history. I talked to him about your experience and about your previous Military Service. I wrote off your account balance off due to the time elapsed and because you are a Veteran. He assured me that the account would be written off and zeroed out and that the collection agency will be notified. He said that this action would be taken today. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact me."
Gee...go figure...after (12) yrs. and ECPI is doing me a favor when Brenda Tyre (Dir. Acct. Rec. Mgmnt) was a first class snot trying to flex her muscle with me? I identified them with Statute of Limitations and Court recourse "IF" they felt justified in their Accounting Records. ECPI couldn't report anything on my Credit Report and because of the Statute of Limitations expired and they couldn't legally pursue collection ... the burden of proof is on ECPI and they failed to engage in preserving their rights "IF" they had a case (which identifies in the email he didn't have access to all of the billing history...(go figure...but I had access to my records....imagine that). ECPI was engaging in extortion tactics trying to get me to pay a balance that wasn't even legally owed and ECPI wouldn't give me my transcripts until I paid "their balance" because "ECPI Said" I owed them money. I advised ECPI they were playing a very dangerous game for me to contact the Dept. of Education for investigatioin and unlawful extortion tactics denying my legal rights for my Transcripts.
TAH DAHHHHH! As a Navy Veteran (and fmr. Navy Police)....documentation beats conversation (i.e., excuses) and I stuck to my guns...and took no bull s**t. I would like ANY of you to contact me if you have problems with ECPI so I can identify your problems and have the President review your problem for Resolution.
