Halo Top bills itself as low calorie ice cream. Since my granddaughter is having food dissues now, we decided to try this product. Overall, though very expensice, the product is not bad. However, about halfway through the container, we encountered a giant air pocket that took up half the container.
At $5.69 a pint, this is not cheap stuff. At $5.69 a cup, we would never buy it. I then contacted Halo Top. It took them a week to get back to me.
I explained what happened, and their rep gave me a bunch of gobblety g**k BS that placed the blame on everyone except where it was deserved....the manufacturing process. To his credit, he did say he was going to send me a certificate for a free pint. Though it would not make up for the disappointment and incovenience, it was at least a show of good faith.
Except....four months later....nothing. Overpriced? Yes! Feeling ripped off?...YES!!! Feeling like I just got taken by a liar and a theif...no question.
