Edge Pest Control Buyer Beware! Sandy Utah

This company send young good looking salesman door to door selling what they tout is a premium Pest Control service and product.   Once they convince of this through all means of assurances and promises of being able to cancel if not satisfied, you sign up for an initial service not knowing you will never see these sales people again and you have just signed on to a long term agreement with a company that can never hope to deliver on the promises made at the door. In fact, in fine print, you acknowledge that the agreement that promises made at the door are irrelevant. This is despicable business practice and should be investigated by legal authorities. 

In our particular case, we have had pest control companies servicing our home for many years and had been very happy with our pest control in general with the exception of a seasonal issue with roosting bats in our eaves.  The Edge salespeople said "no problem" and that they had a special treatment for such an issue. After the first visit, we noticed no differnece in the amount of bat traffic (based on the amount of bat droppings left on our back porch). We monitored the second visit from Edge and no treatment as descried was even applied. When we called to complain, they sent a tech out with a powder substance and treated the eaves. This again made no difference in bat traffic. When we called to cancel our service, they said we had a long term contract and we could not cancel. When I escalated matters I was then told they do not offer a "special" treatment for bats but that by getting rid of the insects they feed on, our bat traffic would be reduced. This is absolutely not what I was sold and I have not had a prior problem with insects at my home. Unfortunate for anyone selling legitmate services door to door, we will not let another saleman come into our home and peddle promises of any service. This was absolutely despicable treatment.
