EDI Express comany was hired to deliver a shipment of dates from California to our warehouse. Shipment was picked on a pallet whole packed and shrinked like it should. Pallet was delivered to our warehosue in a very bad condition: pallet was tilted and shifted during transportation. Out of 70 cases of dates only 10 were salvaged. Rest was damaged, squshed or hit in such a way that was not sellable. EDI refused to compensate at first and denied extensive damage to the shipment. After claim and several complaints were filed, company agreed to pay only $780.00. Our actual damage was $5,472.00
EDI is now moving the ball to the broker court saying that any other damages should be made with the broker.
