I was scammed by EDP Reporting into believing that I was getting a credit card. They don't tell you it's a debit card and that their going to charge your account $159.95.
They put the terms and conditions in very fine print and you must click on it to find out what they really are going to do instead. They did not send me an E-mail so I could call back an cancel within the three day period.
They did not leave a phone number on your bank statement so you can call to cancel once you realize that it was a scam and their taking $159.95 from your account.
This charge put me into a finacial tail spin causing my bank M&T of Elysburg PA to hit me with a total of $153.00 in insufficient fund fees. My bank did not care about the situation. I was treated with disrespect and judged unfairly.
By the time I was able to find a contact number to EDP Reporting, they told me it was past the three day period and I was not entitled to a refund. I told them I was a Disabled Veteran and I am living off of Social Security Disability benefits.
They could care less, they would not care what your situation was even if it was an Emergency. I was able to speek with an individual by the name of Bernett Ross who said he was a Manager.
I was treated with the same disregard in reference to getting refund. I told him I will take legal action and his reply was go ahead and make sure you give them my Extension #122.
Why would all these people that are being ripped-off from the same place give up voluntarily $159.95 from their account for a debit card worth nothing. They scam you into thinking your getting a credit card with a high credit line just to lure you into thier devilish trap.
This company and their employees should be sued and charged if necessary and be put out of business. And all the victims of their scam should be reimbursed plus any othe additional loss we have suffered.
