On Sunday July 28th 2007 I replied to an e-mail in which the subject line was an offer for a Payday Advance Loan. I filled out the form in which it asked for my account and routing info. I complied because my experience is that the payday loan companies do this to put the requested fund INTO ones account. Upon filling out the form I pressed submit as the form requested when I did so a page loaded and referred to a debit card. This not being what I wanted I closed the program and thought the transaction was terminated.

On Thursday August the 1st I received an email from my Bank stating that I had insufficient funds. This puzzled me because I had made a deposit for 330.00 on Tuesday July 31st 2007. I then went online to my online banking account and I saw that a company by the name of EDP Reporting had taken out a charge of $159.95 causing my account to be overdrawn. The company had an electronic check with the info I had put down to get a payday loan. I contacted my Bank and informed the Customer service agent that I did not authorize this charge. In return she informed me that I had to contact the fraud department.

When I contacted the fraud department Yolonda the representative for Bank of America stated that if I gave my account number then it was not fraud but a dispute she then gave me the number to the FTC and stated that I should try to contact the company for a refund. I filed a complaint with the FTC on August 3rd 2007. I have tried numerous times to contact EDP Reporting to no avail. I have tried to contact their customer service number 1-800-430-0672 no answer
I have called another number which I received online from another EDP victim 1-818-487-0672 No answer.

When I tried to go to their website and leave an email like it states the email does not work it states message cannot be delivered. When you call their 1-800 number no one ever picks up the phone it goes into an endless cycle of music and after 15 minutes it states there is no one to help you please contact us VIA our website www.edpreporting.com.

When you go to the website, they say that you can choose three options to get help. The live chat never works, the email is always returned. And the customer Service number No one answers. I called 1-818-487-0672 and left messages on all the voice mails stating that I was unhappy and wanted to speak with someone no one called me back. This company has caused me $439.00 in overdrafts fees I am now forced to action to recoup my losses. I am also suing for court cost and fees.

***************UPDATE***************UPDATE**************
on August 2oth 2007 i recieved a call from Jeff Nelson A articulate speaking fellow who tried to tell me that I did not respond in time. He stated that what i filled out was a credit card applixation (which i know is bull crap) I don't need another credit card i have two plus my Bank of America Card Jeff and i got into an arguement because he tried to tell me i was surfing the internet and answered a pop up ad. NOnsence. I carefullt retraced my tracks and I know which email sends you to this fake wanna be credit card. I am ready to file in small claims court for my refund plus bounced check fees

To whom it may concern. I am contacting you about the unauthorized debit from my checking account. I filled out an internet form under the assumption that I was filling out a payday loan form. I was not aware that you and you company was going to rip me off by trying to charge me for a debit card. I bank with Bank of America and do not need a debit card.

When your company made the unauthorized debit from my account you made my account over draft 8 times. Bank of America charges 35.00 per over draft. If I am not reimbursed the 240.00 to bank of America for their overdraft fees plus the 159.95 you stole from my account I will take further action. I have already notified the FTC of your practices. I DO NOT WANT YOUR SERVICES. I DO WANT MY ACCOUNT CREDITED BACK 159.00 PLUS OVERDRAFT FEES TOTALING 459.00 IF I DO NOT HEAR BACK FROM YOU I WILL TAKE LEGAL ACTION!!
