I have a student loan and my servicer is a company called ACS. i made a payment to them for 400.00 and put my loans in  deferment. then ,a month later,ECMC sent me letters saying that they are in default  when i contacted ACS they said that they are indeed in deferment and they have no record of the default that ECMC is claiming. when I contacted ECMC all that they could tell me is that my loans are in default and wiil not listen to or talk to ACS on this matter. I need help and have no money for a lawyer can any body help me on this matter?
