I filed a complaint, a report of discrimination against my employer. My claims of Retailation and deliberate bad faith that was done with malice against me fell on deaf ears. The representative that screened my complaint seemed to have an agenda to protect the employer. Even though at first this was puzzling to me, and I did not want to believe what I suspecting because I believed that the EEOC was there to protect the worker. It soon became obvious to me that the EEOC representative was more focused on deliberately misleading me and to withhold information that would help me to bring legal action against my employer.

The thing that I have not yet found out is why. If you go to the website of the EEOC www.eeoc.gov and read what there purpose and objective is. Why would an agency that was originally designed to help the employee now be against that employee. Well I am on a mission to find the answers. If anyone else has had the same experience as I did please e-mail me. If you are reading this and have not ever been to the eeoc becareful.

They are laws know that the republicans have made giving employers power, to fire employees even If you have not done anything wrong.

Employers can even lie about you & prevent you from getting another job, but you can still sue them If they lie about you. That Is defamation of character & slander. To lie to keep you from getting unemployment & another job.

Why do employers retaliate for workers compensation claims. I mean you got hurt on the job & they caused It buy cleaning the floors & polishing or any other unsafe conditions @ work.

Then they have the nerve to retaliate agaisnt you knowing It wasn't your fault for reporting your injury, they recent having to pay you disabilty payments. Then you have to get a lawyer to make sure they do they right thing.

I am so glad that someone decided to mention the EEOC
I have had the pleasure of dealing with them twice and decided that I am better off never using them again.

I went to them in January of 2007 and filed charges for harassment and discrimination.
That started because a 24 year old man decided to make a pass at me.
The company decided to make me look like a middle aged woman with nothing better to do with my time than to go around bothering young people.

I was told by EEOC that the company said that I instigated the incidents.
I told her that it wasn't that much instigating in the world.
I asked other questions and she turned my case over to the TWC civil rights division.

whom (I might add) decided to dismiss part of it stating that one of the young ladies involved had the right to harass me because we didn't like each other.
I had never heard anything so ludicrous in my life.

I sent all of the proof that I had to TWC and of course they claimed that they didn't receive it in time.
According to them, the time frame that I was given included weekends.

I even filed harassment charges against one of the young ladies involved with the police dept; they did nothing. I traced the complaint to homicide and no one ever called me back.

In every situation involving jobs there is no help for us. Everything is designed to help the employer.
I know because now its workers comps turn and believe me, I'm losing.

I feel insulted with what parkwood did to us. They caused to be in more financial dept then people have the nerve to call me a deadbeat. I would like to know why employers think they can get away with screwing with employees lives.

Parkwood harassed my mother wrongfully fired her because of this accident which they caused they they tried to slander her I still feel insulted with what they did they had no right to do this!.

They can still move not caring about the emotional abuse they put us threw & causing my mother to be in financial dept which effects me to my mother also feels betrayed & insulted & they always get away with it.

We was put threw this for no reason! just because they think they have the power to ruin innocent peoples careers. Parkwood is heartless & has no heart for what they did to us & they are laughing @ us!.

Employers are not our friend my last nursing job fought all the way & lied to keep from paying me any money there was also withnesses to my accident on the job. They even try to slander me & filed a complaint agaisnt my nursing license taking away from me.

I won @ the end I had gotten a good lawyer employers In the past got away with screwing me but I didn't let them get away with It this time, they was not going to be the cause of me losing my home & everything I worked hard all my life.

I was almost homeless but I am recovering fine from my knee injury they paid all my medical bills but I am so far behind on my other bills I do not know how to pay them off & interest has occured on them.

Know I have my life back & I can start moving foward, they could had avoided this buy not polishing & cleaning the floors which caused my slip & fall injury.

Employers think they can get away with trying to screw us but I prevailed this time. It will take time for me to recover from this emotional all my employer did & other employees wanted to harass me & make my life difficult for no reason.

I have been in business management for over 15 years. I have a degree in it. I have prevailed in two EEOC complaints and every time that I filed unemployment and the one time that I had to file workers comp. That required the reattachment of one thumb and one finger.

I have seen employees file ALL kinds of complaints. I just had one recent incident in which I was accused of being a racist. The employee that was fired was black and she threatened a customer. Now, is there injustice in the system? Oh yes! Are there lying employers that seem to get away with anything? Yes again! But, if you want to win any kind of case with the government, you can't go in accusing people of being racist and all of that crap. DOCUMENTATION AND PROOF is what wins your cases. Workers comp ensures that a person will receive medical treatment for a work related injury or illness. However, if that situation was found to be caused by the employee's misconduct or negligence, you will probably be fired after released from medical care.

Now, I know for a FACT that many people will try to claim a work related injury when they were actually hurt somewhere else. The law calls that FRAUD. And it happens all the time. So, my advice to you is to GET A FREAKING LIFE and to understand that an employee IS NOT YOU FRIEND!

The employers insurance agreed to settle everything, & my mothers lawyer Is working on the wrongful firing & they agreed to settle with that to, none of this will have to go to court.

Mabye next time they will not clean & polish the floors because they are having to pay out a whole bunch of money for this accident which they could had avoided.

Something has finally worked out, just goes to show when you wrongfully terminate employee & they know the employee did nothing wrong they can be held libel.

Parkwood just fired my mother because of this accident & they caused It & because my mother filed a workmans comp claim I find this to be very insulting what parkwood did.

But they have agreed to settle with my mother for the accident & the wrongful firing, parkwood has caused this emotional ordeal for nothing. Employers still treat employees like crap even though they caused the workplace inquiry.

And employers still fire employees even though the accident wasn't the employees fault, then the employee has to go through the emotional ordeal while the employer can still injoy life screwing with employees.

Alabama and georgia have laws to screw & ruin employees who are injured on the job.

If you file a workmans comp claim In alabama or georgia employees still get fired. Even the company Is the cause of you work related accident.

The employees don't matter they are left homeless & having to sell everything they worked for hard for before.

Both states have laws & lobbyist that only work the insurance company, doctors and businesses. The people of alabama & georgia don't matter.

We have to lose our home car & having to sell everything inorder to surive while they get rich.

I am trying to get the word out on this site before we end up homeless & having to sell everything due to my mothers last place of employment.

We are having to pay the price due to there negligence & possiblly having to move into a homeless shelter. I cannot control what will happen but I am angry we are being done like this for no reason.

You cannot sue your employer they get all the benefits as with the insurance companies, businesses & the doctors. While they get rich people are losing everything they worked hard for & having to start all over.

In the meantime the employer gets ahead In there career getting richer while, abusing there powers. The employees don't get nothing accept there life taken away from them.

It just gets me angry & they also get employees into dept with no job to pay for there bills or mortage or car payment so they lose everything they waited all there lives for.

But I am exposing what Is going on & how unfairly employees are being treated, so feel free to start all the mud slinging because I am tired of being screwed. So Is my mother.

My mother Is sueing her last place of employment for wrongful termination & the cause of her injury, my lawyer said he has sufficent evidence for proof they caused the accident & Is trying to deny out of It.

He Is handling the workers comp stuff & the wrongful firing, the employer has messed with the wrong person this time. My mother let them get away In the past but not this time.

My lawyer told my mother this stuff happens all the time In alabama he Is experinced In getting people help & to be treated fairly. Also he doesn't charge anything he gets paid when my mother gets her settlement.

My moms lawyer also said they settle out of court cause they know they would lose, so he gets paid when my mother gets her settlement.

Lawyers In alabamacannot charge there fee either alabama said they are only allowed 15% they can take out of the settlement. I thank god he took this case.

My mother will win & we will be vindicated, because her last job Is putting us threw this for no reason. Mabye next time they wouldn't be stupid & clean & wax the floors , & then they fire employees for no reason.

This Is a great injustice but they will not get away with It.

To lee this Is a great injustice.

To lee my mother then found a new job & had to work with her had being injuried. My mother found a new job after she was fired, she was hired 11/2007.

My mother had a slip & fall the dumb idiots cleaned the floor & waxed It, & my mother & an slip & fall but they where withnesses to her accident & how she fell.

They should not had cleaned & waxed the floors knowing employees had to walk and work &. My mother was fired two months later on 01/2008. The doctor told my mother she could not for over 30 mins.

My mother had to walk for almost 8 hours a day & the doctor told her she couldn't my mother also had to have knee surgery back in june of this year. My mother Is receiving workmans com disabilty payments.

This Is a complete injustice, my mother has currently got an attorney & Is suing for wrongful terminantion because they are the cause of the accident, buy cleaning & waxing the floors.

This will cost them alot of money mabye next time they should clean there floors early morning besides during the day knowing people walking could be serious hurt. They are a very careless workplace.

They caused my mother to have the accident then they wrongfully fired her, not even a month of being hired. They where negligence, but my mother isn't going to let them get away with this.

My mother isn't threw with treatment of her knee injury. I just wish this all would be over. If my mother can't go back to work she would also sue them for causing this accident.

I just think all of this is unfair what the employer Is putting us threw, my mothers lawyer said she could sue for mental stress for them putting us threw this mess for reason which my mother didn't cause.

My mother or I deserve to be put threw this & they will pay. Mabye next time they will clean there floors different hours, & save them a lawsuit.

Forget the eeoc they wouldn't do anything, that Is why my mother got a lawyer & Is personally sueing them, I am to tired of being put threw this crap for no reason.

Lee you & everybody else don't understand you probally understand what I am saying, you just choose not to.

The other employees lied about my mother to the employer so he terminated her, as always people blame me for everything on this site. My mother had gotten a hand injurie know she has carpal tunnel syndrome.

My mother filed a workmans comp claim which In the state of georgia you have to report a work injury. This Is when the trouble started she was working there for almost 8 months.

It's hard for me to explain the work she did she had worked @ a Dialysis clinic In columbus she had to do a procedure 200 times a day over & over, & It caused her hand injury.

This Is when the other employees started to harass her then a month after the injury happen they fired her. But let me point this out she had no problems after she filed a workmans comp claim.

The georgia workmans comp denied her claim so know my mother has got a lawyer working on the case. My mother was suppose to have surgery on her hand.

But the georgia workmans compensation denied her claim so know she will have to wait longer.

Its amazing how employers can screw you up & treat you like garbage but my mother Is fighting this, my mother then found a new job & had to work with her hand.

That Is how everything Is screwed up In the state of georgia the workmans compensation people can treat people anyway they want & they love getting the chance to screw people.

the TRUe NUMBER for 2007 is 150,027 NATIONWIDE--divide that by office-that is 2831 cases PER OFFICE (average)--no where near the half million claimed

This has to deal with racism. Because whenever my mother has problem with her jobs Its because of black people. The black people @ her last job had been there for years without getting terminated & they are the ones that slack off.

They know they have lied black people always get to keep there jobs while white people wrongfully get terminated, you can forget about having a fair hearing In the unemployment office.

My mother has won unemployment 2 times & lost 2 times. That Is because there Is black people making decisions regarding who gets unemployment & who doesn't. This all has to do with racism.

The employer did not provide any proof that my mother did anything wrong. My mother said before she begin working there the employer said If they had to terminate they would prevail.

Which means they would always win unemployment cases even If what they said was not the truth. Why did It have to be my mother they terminated, the employer contradicted themselves many times & the unemployment office didn't catch that.

Why do they always pick on my mother for the other employees could goof off & not do there jobs then they terminate an innocent person. I was present when they called my mother & she did not screem or yell or raise her voice while she was talking to them.

But I cannot be a withness, the other 3 employees who lied still have there jobs they where the trouble makers my mother said why do they get to keep there jobs. There Is something unlawfully going on In that work place.

Because why would they terminate an innocent person If they where doing things they are not suppose to be doing, mabye once they get a lawsuit slapped on them they would learn not to be mean to employees.

My mother got terminated for having a injury on the job she could handle the job, she was working there for 8 months before the accident with no problems. Of course you people on here are going to believe the employer.

My mother has already got a lawyer to sue for wrongful termination sorry If ya'll don't like that, that Is not my problem. Employers are not suppose to lie this will also be In the lawsuit.

Employers think they can win all unemployment caes & they do well they are not going to get away with It this time. Employers terminate any employee who gets injuried on the job.

I don't believe the employer they contradicted themselves many times & the unemployment office didn't even catch that. If the people wanna believe the employer side then go right ahead.

It doesn't matter If the jobs belong to the employer. They don't have the right to lie about you, like how they treated my mother. Its called abuse of power so tell me another one.

There Is alot of that going on today If you are already working lee & you are doing your job correctly they have no right to pick on you. Why do employers hire people If they are just going to treat them badly.

If you are already working lee employers can't just make up any lied just to get rid of you this Is also discrinmantion. They have laws to obey to they just can't fire you If you are not doing anything wrong.

They also don't have the right to pick on you they are suppose to give the same fair treatment to all employees. If an employer has wronged you, & has lied about you for the reason why they terminated you, you can sue them for slander.

Employers know how to beat the system. They are experinced In lying about employees I have looked @ the employers statement & he had contradicted himself what he told the unemployment office & the 3 withnesses.

My mother also got him & the 3 withnesses In alot of lies It Is on them to provide proof of what they accused my mother of doing wrong they didn't. My mother has always filled out patients medical record properly & has never been accused of this.

I caught there lies to when I read the hearing transcript I was present when my mother was talking to them they said she was yelling & screeming @ them & threaten to sue them.

They forget my mother has other people @ home when they accuse her of screaming @ them & raising her voice when they think they are so smart when they are telling these lies to the unemployment office.

But I am not allowed to testify or be my mothers withness to there lies. They also told another lie that my mother disrupted the whole place & disturbing the patients well If that was true why didn't they send her home another lie.

They have lied so much Its not even funny. I was present when they called my mother being ugly towards her they forget other people are @ home but they are so stupid & they got away with there lies.

Why don't the employer provide proof my mother violated any company policy or did not do her job. The burden of proof is on the employer to proof it was your fault for you being fired.

I do not believe the employer or there lies. They say there is a nursing shortage well its there own d**n fault employers should not bully there employees or fire them for no reason.

The eeoc is on the employers side just like the unemployment office. Why have an eeoc if they are just going to believe the employer. The eeoc needs to be disbarred.

If there is a class action lawsuit It would be pretty funny when they explain things to the judge why they have not done there jobs to protect employee rights.

Hello, in your post you asked why the EEOC deliberately tried to thwart your claim, withhold information, and seemingly protect the employer. The answer to this is VERY SIMPLE and as old as the hills ... So here goes ... are you ready?

Their workload is all the way through the roof, and they can't handle all the case loads coming in!

The truth is, employers abuse their power SO MUCH all over the country, that each branch office has to examine about half a million cases annually! The good news is, once you get a filing against one of these rogue employers, that smirk gets wiped right off their face, when they see how much you've been awarded.

So, don't forget, if the case manager takes your case, there are hours and hours of work involved. They have to examine and re-examine everything you and the defendant say, and many times the statements come in by the BOXES and can take over a year to muddle through. So there's your reason.

Meedless to say, these overworked employees will do and say anything to try to show your claim to the door. They also have to play devil's advocate and assess your case through the eyes of Defense Counsel, to see if your case is winable or not.

My suggestion to you is, go again to the website, copy down EVERY SINGLE STATUE that applies to you and make another appointment. At the appointment slap those puppies on the table and ask the consultant to explain why these don't apply to you. Don't be surprised if you then see pearls of bovine sweat forming on their upper lip area. Take a friend with you. Witnesses make them nervous. If they reject your case again ... EEOC will NOT help in TEXAS!

I had full documentation about abusove, discriminatory and sexist employers in Austin,Texas and I followed all of the procedures that I was supposed to folow when I reported the abuse I had from three separate employers to EEOC and NOTHING was done.

All they did was go to the former employers and tell them WHO reported them and that was it for me. They are supposed to keep that information confidential.

They were all three Private Security Guard Contracting Companies and NOTHING WAS DONE.

Of the three companies I reported, two are still in business.

AND EEOC has done absolutely NOTHING about AGE discrimination which is on the uprise here and they CONTINUE to do NOTHING about GENDER discrimination.

They are supposed to be WORKING out of the office in San Antonio,Texas but I think they are sleeping there instead and maybe watching "Girls Gone Wild" videos or something because they did NOT do their jobs and these people are still doing the same things they have always done to new victims. It is like these Austin employers NEVER run out of people to exploit, abuse, wear out, damage and discard.
