Two toilets were ordered online from this company and at the same I ordered two coordinating toilet seats from the same vendor. The order went through, it gave me an order number, charged my account for the full amount and did not at any time through the order process come back and say these items are out of stock and will ship in 6 to 8 weeks. Every other vendor does this. It gives the customer the opportunity to decide whether they can or want to wait for the items.

The next day I received an email indicating that the toilets were on back order for 6 to 8 wks. I emailed them to cancel the order. They said in a reply I needed to call themto do that. I did and indicated that of course I didn't want the seats either. Kim the rep said that the seats shipped out immediately and that I would need to call them for an RGA number when I got them for return and that there would be a re-stocking fee. How absurd! Seats without the toilet.

This company would be on top of things if they realiezed you need a toilet to go with the seat. And since the seat is tailored for the toilet by vendor I guess I can't use the seats. Furthermore, I attemped to order several other kinds of toilets but they were all out of stock as well.

Looks like some false advertising to get you to order things that don't exist and when you order accessories to go with them, you're stuck with the charges.
I am contacting the Better Business Bureau immediately and filing a complaint with my card company. Very sad to see this is how companies deceive people.

Barbara:

Your toilets (Toto product # CST716-03) were special order and did not show in stock on our website. They did in fact show that you would need to "click here to check stock". We would have informed you prior to making your purchase that these products have a lead time of 6-8 weeks because the manufacturer makes them to order.

Your toilet seats (Toto product # SS114-03) were in stock and able to be shipped right away. Unfortunately, our computer system is not able to make the determination that a certain toilet seat is for a certain toilet. The order for the two seats was immediately transferred to our warehouse to be shipped.

In our terms and conditions, which you agreed to in completing your purchase, it clearly states that a 15% restocking fee will be charged on all returned merchandise where a replacement is not requested. Our customer service reps and supervisor attempted to assist you in making a replacement order but you did refuse.
