My husband and I were suckered into this timeshare when we visited last Feb. We were there for our early anniversary, due the fact my husband is in the Military he would be gone during our actual anniversary. Mind you I had in mind not to purchase this timeshare, however since my husband was suckered into getting some good tickets to a cool show. My husband was all for it.

With him being in the Military he thinks alot of people are trust worthy, when in most cases. He doesn't think people will lie just to get you to buy something, however after our expierece with this timeshare in Las Vegas, I believe he has a new prospective on that issue.

Anyways first we were told that it would be only a couple of hours. Well it turned into an all day affair.. and we were there only for a couple of days anyways. Everytime we tired to leave they came up with something else to sucker us in. They would say "okay wait right here let me see what i can do for you" and come back with free extra weeks.. in reality you still had to pay the $150 to do it. They had also told us that the maintenance fees would be waived for that year... LOL nope they weren't we got a bill for it two months later. And when we called about it and repeated what was promised they did nothing about it. So we never paid it. And in Oct. of 2007 they send us another bill for 2008 fees... LOL we haven't paid those either.

Our agent who seemed to be nice turned out to be lieing about everything. She even told us that she went to the same church we did (in another state) just to sucker us in... and when she found out we were Military.. it even got worse... the manager on duty that day came over and said all kinds of stuff to us... and said we were only getting it because we were Military... LOL found out later most of everybody else got the same things we did. So now we are stuck with a timeshare that soon we won't be able to afford.

I have tried selling this through another company and of course they are scamming too. No one wants to buy this crap either. I have tried giving it back soon after we returned home... My husband is schedule to deploy to Iraq again this year.. sometime soon..and Military doesn't pay well and all I got from this company is... I am sorry that you will not beable to afford this anylonger, but we do not have a re-sale program.

I was so upset with them I wrote them back and told them I thought it was sorry that they have there freedom in this country to scam people like us.. just because of our Men and Women who fight for our freedom. They wrote back stating that yes they were happy my husband was military and that they had there freedom but they still couldn't help us.

So yes I agree with Rochester, New York.. this company is a scam and they shouldn't get away with it.

What happens to your timeshare when you die

AUTHOR: charlesb12 - ()

POSTED: Wednesday, April 30, 2014

Because your timeshare contract will certainly establish what happens to your timeshare when you die in one of its clauses, I highly recommend you to read the timeshare agreement cautiously. Some timeshares can be inherited, while others can be owned by more than one person, however, whatever the contract says, the truth is that all of the clauses will always benefit the resort. Also, ask as many questions as possible during the presentation if you are seriously considering acquiring a fractional ownership. This is a good article on what happens to your timeshare when you die

Great Results with The Grand View

AUTHOR: Bill - (United States of America)

POSTED: Thursday, October 06, 2011

I have owned at the Grandview for 2 years and I have never had a problem using my timeshare. I got everything the salesman told me I would get. It works great. I have owned timeshares in other places and have not been as successful as I have at the Grandview when I tried to trade my time. For the money, I have not seen a better deal than what they offer at the Grandview. For those people who are complaining, ask them to try and find a better deal or trading power for what they offer at the grandview. I got 4 extra weeks with by 2 bedroom deal and they also so work great. If you want to travel and have great places to stay when you arrive at your vacation distination you cannot find a better deal anywhere.

Timeshare Owner of The Grandview

AUTHOR: Shannon - (U.S.A.)

POSTED: Wednesday, November 12, 2008

My fiance (now husband) and I went to Las Vegas a little over 3 years ago and were "roped" into the same all day venture. However our outcome seems to be much different than the comments listed. Granted I do not recall all othe "extras" that were thrown in but I do know that we get 49,000 points every November and since purchasing the timeshare we not only let friends use our home resort(Vegas) with no problems but we have booked places in New Hamshire, Colorado and Amsterdam with absolutely NO Probelms.... Actually we were even able to get Amsterdam in the month of June which is the BERT time to go. We are not a picky couple and just love to travel so maybe that is why it has worked so well for us. We get online, look around at whats available, book it and travel on..... Our Maintenance fees have not increased in all 3 years and yes we do pay a transfer charge but it is vey minimal in comparrison to booking a week worth of hotels.

We love it!
