I purchased the VIP family 4 pack from the Shrine Circus to attend their opening night in Lansing, Michigan.  With that package we were suppose to get front row seats, cotton candy, coloring books, programs, an elephant or a pony ride, and a VIP backstage tour.

When we arrived, there were no coloring books and the programs consisted of coupons and nothing else.  The VIP seats were all filled up because everyone was allowed to sit in those seats.  They took the tickets upon entry and did not verify who actually paid for the VIP seats.  Therefore my family was forced to sit in some uncomfortable bleachers at the very end of the so called arena.  We couldn't even see two of the rings in the circus.

The back stage tour consisted of two horses and an old elephant.  Very Lame!  We were suppose to get free cotton candy and when we got there they said that was not true.  We had to pay $5 for cotton candy and everyone who ate became very sick in the days following.  In fact my 2 year old daughter threw up in the car on the way home.

We ended up leaving before the circus started because we couldn't see anything.  The radio advertised that they had one of only two chimpanzee acts in the country.  That is the reason we wanted to go to the circus.  Their website advertises bears and I didn't see any signs of bears or Chimpanzees.

That day I went to the box office and they told me that I would be issued a full refund within a week.  The guy took down my name and phone number and pushed it to the side.  I asked him how I was suppose to get my refund back and he said they would look up my information by my phone number.  I had a bad feeling so when I got home I immediately called up my credit card company to file a dispute.  They stated that I would have to wait until the payment posted.

That week came and went and still no refund.  I have called up there every single day and a lady will take down my name and phone number, but no one ever calls.  Today she hung up on me and now no one is awnsering their phone.  My bank also called me and told me that the could not give me a refund because it shows that I received the ticket.  When I told them what is really going on, they decided to do some furthuring investigating.

All I am asking for is my money back and this company is scamming me and other people who buy the VIP tickets.  I am sure the general admission is fine, but if you don't want this to happen to you, DON'T BUY THE VIP TICKETS.
