I used to intern for a company called "Recontrader" in 2009. I did a little bit of research on the "CEO" Fred Smilek. There was a lot of negative things on him:

But I did the internship anyways...They had us spent countless hours posting fake things online to try to get the initial ripoffreport off of google about Fred Smilek.  They had us looking for houses, condos, and penthouses for the guy, and doing everything but what we were told during our interview process.  It is pretty comical, James Putra, Anthony Rousseau, and Ryan Ferderer are like his sheeps, they are at Fred's foot, like a servant to a master, or as if they are a small colt. I have witness Fred scream and holler at them as if he gave birth to them while they just sat there nodding and agreeing with every moronic thing he can say. I stayed there because I figured it was only 3 months, and it wouldnt hurt. 

I soon realized that all they do is hire interns.  Everyone there was an intern. EVERYONE. I saw atleast 20 interns come and go.  They would interview 2-5 people a day. I realized they just wanted people to work for free to take care of their personal stuff (mostly Fred's) and take care of things they didnt want to (like do research on their personal stuff). They are very good at selling you a dream.  They constantly held meetings with us to talk about our dreams, our family, held morning meetings where they were trying to "better our thinking", etc etc, it was all a ploy. They all four read the same books, they say the same things, I have read one book that Fred speaks from word for word pretending he is a great thinker. They pretend to care about the interns because they know they need people to do everything it is they dont want to do.

So I finally leave, some time goes by, I graduate, I look for another internship in the last 3 months.  I found a company called Elite Global Trader. I applied, they called me...the person that called me was someone I worked with at elite global. I automatically called a lot of the people I knew used to work there and some that still worked there...they broke it down for me very clearly.

Basically, they skipped out on their previous office in the middle of the night to get the new office downtown.  I found out that some of the guys that were there before I was (meaning they were there for about 8 months to over 1 to 2 years, were no longer getting paid.  They were told that the company did not have money.  All of these people are college grads, young hard workers who are not getting paid and running themselves into debt and problems on a simple "promise".  I found out that the people who were there for a while were also quitting because they realized it was a scam.  I was told they were giving $500 or so whenever Fred, James, Ryan, and Anthony felt like paying...or the company received money from investors (as they liked to tell them).  I also found out from an intern who recently quit that while they were not getting paid, they were looking for bentleys and lambos for Fred, and that they even looked for millions dollar houses for him to rent.  He even told me he was made to drive to his new mansion and that there was a lambo parked in the garage (lime green), next to his jaguar xkr.

The sad thing is, they are not only wasting interns times, but I was told that the trading operation was a joke.  Their system was just made to look pretty for investors.  They NEVER had a positive period and that all they did was trade negatively and then Fred would go back to drawing boards, blaming everyone and everything else for him not knowing how to trade. The same intern told me that all the system is, is a bunch of already known strategies coded to look pretty on a bunch of big screen they called the video wall.  He even joked that the whole set up was made to look like star wars and they had big ugly chairs, resulting in a useless platform that was elevated from the wall.  He heard Fred tell investors this trading room was based off of Nasa and fighter pilots and blah blah, all lies.  All the money invested does not seem to be going anywhere else but in their pockets.

Im simply writing this report to help anyone looking for a job, or looking to invest money. Dont do it.  From the stories I have heard, these 4 guys are in it for themselves. They cant trade, and they are liars.  Do not believe anything these guys say unless you have proof that they could not have tempered with (I was told their accountant used to sign for all of them on many documents he left around the office). Do not believe that Fred went to a good college, the Navy, or anything he says unless its proven.  Do not believe anything the other 3 pawns say either, they do not have any experience, they can not make money in a legit fashion. would you trust these guys with your future?

Google anyone of their names and you can tell they have already started to do damage control. They have a bunch of fake websites out there to try to hide all the negative things that will show up in the near future.

If you have delt with these people, please let others know, this is the end of my rant, I just dont want to see anyone else hurt by these scammers.
