I became a member in May of this year. They charged me a onetime non-refundable fee of $95, and the !st month fee of $79.99. They took a total of $174.95 out of my account.
Within that month i decided that I didn't want the insurance, so I cancelled as soon as I got my membership card. They told me that I was going to get a full refund immediately. When I didn't receive a refund I called them and they told me it would take 7-45 business days.
Now it's been over 2 months, and I've been calling them and they keep telling me that my request for a refund has been received and is being processed. It's been processing since I cancelled on June 1, 2009. If you are ever contacted by this company I urge you not to join. It's not even insurance like the sale representive says it is.

Care ington takes pride in assisting members at every step in the membership experience. Care ington is a discount medical plan organization located in Frisco, TX that offers various discount plans to help consumers save money at participating providers.
Care ington has no direct contractual relationship with Elite Healthcare. Instead, Elite Healthcare is contracted with HealthcareOne. HealthcareOne in turn has a contract with Care ington to market Care ington discount programs on a private label basis. HealthcareOne handles the member services, billing, cancellation, and refunding of consumers that join through Elite Health Cares marketing efforts.
Care ington immediately forwarded this complaint to HealthcareOne to make sure that a due refund was processed in a timely manner. HealthcareOne has informed us that a refund in the amount of $79.95 was issued on August 12, 2009 back to the original form of payment.
