I recently used Elite moving and Storage (aka The Moving Experts) What a joke, they are very unskiled and very careless with everything they touch. They treat your expensive furniture and fragile belonging like trash, and are unable to speek or read english, thats right a mexican outfit!! I was overcharged for my shipment which I was told in the beginning was 391cf and that was told to me to be 7 feet on the truck and only actually took 4-5 feet and charged 450sf after it was loaded and they admitted guessing as they loaded onto a enterprise box truck (rental) not their own truck. I was told they had a large fleet of trucks and really only have 2 and have had several insurance companies in their few years of service and several DOT issues. I had to communicate with the long distance manager so he could translate to the driver and still they could not figure out easy directions given as they couldn't read the street signs, so I had to go find them and lead them to my home. Once there they demonstrated they could just barely drive the truck as the parked in middle of the parking lot blocking the whole parking lot as they were unable to back up to the entrance to my apt. and this is a large area with no cars in the way. I ask the driver if he wanted me to back it in as I've got 25 years of driving truck and he said he had 1 year ( maybe one month) and then they unloaded the truck. While unloading they destroyed my tv which was already in the apartment and I was watching when they called to let me know they were in town by hitting it with furnature and destroying the main circuit board, this was an expensive flat panel tv that I hauled myself to prevent damage by them, now a total loss and to top it all off they denied hitting it to their boss and refused to pay for it, and it was allready in my home. After inspecting my funiture and boxes shipped I discovere several damages to solid oak tables and boxes marked glass and fragile( which was loaded on bottom of load) were about 2/3 the size they were when loaded and contents destroyed into small pieces and other boxes with rips and holes, these were new moving boxes I bought for the move. The end results was their insurance company offered a little over $90.00 dollors to settle and I instantly called my lawyer and so far no response from the moving company to letters from my lawyer, it's not over vet I will file in court and they will pay!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL DESTROY EVERYTHING THEY TOUCH!!
