I ordered a USB cable for my new cell phone. The item was advertised on the EliteXtreme web page. When I received delivery, I found that an item other than what I ordered had been shipped.

I phoned EliteXtreme and was told that, in order to have the correct item sent, I would have to pay the shipping to have the incorrectly item returned before they would send the item that I had ordered. I asked to speak with a supervisor but was repeatedly told that EliteXtreme would not pay shipping to have the incorrectly shipped item returned.

I sent several emails asking for the correct item or a refund. I eventually received an email stating that they would send me the correct item and a shipping label to return the first incorrectly shipped item. However, they miss-stated what I ordered in that email. I pointed this out and, again, asked for a refund. I was told that the correct item had already shipped.

When the second item arrived, it turned out to be the same as the first shipment. That is, an item other than what I had ordered and useless to me. I was provided with a shipping label. I used it to return both incorrect items and requested a refund. I was again told that they would not refund the original shipping charges. I asked if they were refunding the cost of the item. They responded that, they would not refund the cost until they had received the items I was returning. I am waiting to see if that ever happens.

I have already contacted my credit card company. If I don't receive a refund in several weeks, I'll ask that the entire cost, including shipping, be deducted from my credit card. I'm also looking into notifying the Central Florida Better Business Bureau, the NC and Florida Attorney Generals as well as Federal Authorities with regard to inter state commerce violations.

This company goes beyond poor business practices. They are unethical and should be avoided.
