I contact Mike at Elite United to transport a car from Bend, Oregon to Circleville, Ohio and was quoted a total price of $797. I paid mike $197 to arrange the transport and was to give the truck driver $600 when he delivered the car. After several weeks went by I e-mailed Mike for an update on delivery. The return e-mail indicated the car had been picked up and I would owe the truck driver $1,300 upon delivery - more than double the aggredd to price with no prior warning, Since the car had already been loaded there is nothing I can do other than tell other people that this company and Michael Roberts are not honest and upright people to deal with. I would advise everyone to stay away from this company as they have done nothing that their website promised they do. Very shady operation.

More Lies from the vendor

I gave the company the exact year make and model of car and the exact loction of pick up and exact location of drop off and was quoted a total of $797 for transport. If their company employee ignored the information that  I provided to them that is hardly my fault that they were either careless or lazy in their quote. When I called them and accepted their offer we reviewed the exact pick up address and the exact vehicle that was to be transported. Obviously the person handling my transaction did not do his job - I supsect he knew that he could not provide the service requested and wanted his fee. When it was finally picked up I was not informed of any changes in price until after they loaded the vehicle and I could not change anything. When the amount I was to pay the driver went from $600 to $1,300 without any notification this is the farudulent part of the transaction. This company did not inform of any changes so they would not have to refund their part of the fee. This company is shady and is not the above board and honest group that they state in their website. As a matter of fact they caution people about the business practices that they engage in.

This is the other side of the story !

This customer set up an order to move a Old HUGE 24ft long vehicle that was down in the Bend, OR area between 4 national forests . this is why surcharges in this industry happen because of terrible locations like this . If you have a Over sized vehicle , a car that does not run or if your off the grid in hundreds of miles in the middle of No ware . We had to send the driver in a huge 18 wheeler 400 miles through a forest and mountain area in OR to get this old super sized station wagon from the 70's that did not even run correctly . the customer was quoted estimated at 800 plus my fee and ended up paying time, labor and fuel 1300 ... Do not buy cars from people in rural area between forests and mountain terrain and expect not to pay a surcharge to get the job done . This customer is a clown and was told upfront his risk of a surcharge due to the size and area of his vehicle .
