 There is no refund for the remaining time or mileage after the first 10 days of the contract. So yes, it's "all in the contract, which is legal in the state of ___." Technically, they've got you by the neck. Regardless of whether it IS legal, it really should not be legal. Consumers need legal protection from unethical companies like this. 

What they do is write extremely consumer-unfriendly contracts that do NOT actually specify what is covered (despite what they claim), then you are SOL if you ever sell the car or need to actually get work paid for.

Every other warranty I have had refunds difference. I would not recommend this warranty or this company. They do not do business in good faith. They are only interested in keeping your money.

I do not like this type of forum because there is no filtering process setup to weed out the bogus complaints. I am sorry the customer is upset, but his complaint is misguided.

The warranty DOES cover exactly what is says it will cover and the Items Covered and Amount of coverage is listed clearly on the first page of the contract. The problem is the customer did not read the contract at the time he signed it and I would wager based on his complaint that he STILL has not read his contract.

The cancellation policy is also written very clearly and is easy to understand. We cannot go outside of the terms of the contract.
