The operator of the site "eMarket Research Group" is a scam.

They are promising free gift items(Free Computers etc.) to new customers that participate in surveys and purchase and/or sign-up for products and services from vendors like Vonage, Blockbuster, New York Times, Prestige card, etc.

I Rec'd an email offering free Sony Vaio Laptop ($1199.00) if I completed the following:

I know these guys are scams because their website allows you to check your status of Vendors reporting back to them verifying purchase. All you have to do is enter your original-signup) email address and you will immediately see a list of vendors you either visited or signed up for.

I fullfilled the requirements by purchasing two items from each tier. On the Incentive reward Center page setup by (eMarket Research Group); they were showing that 3 vendors reported thus far. CHDVD - S&H - A HV (Top Offers page 1)

Blockbuster Online DVD Rental (Top Offers page 1)

Petcare RX (Top offers page 2)******I have copies****

But I completed all requirments: **I have email records**

New York Times page2**

Prestige Platinum card page3**

and Vonage phone page3**

They advise it takes 4-8weeks for all vendors to report
which I was okay with that. I would just check back to
their website:consumerincentivepromotions.com/redeem.htm
to check the vendor reporting status. I checked in every
other day to get my eligibility gift status. But I became suspicious when on December 6, 2004 I checked
the status again on their website "consumerincentive"
and then so conveniently "eMarket Research Groups" website did not recognize my email address at all. It advised that it had no records. I typed my email address in at least 6 more times and rec'd the same message: No record of you. It should have read "No record of You SUCKER". I tried again the next day, a week later several times, and today also, still no record. The email I am using is the original email that I signed up with. I even sent an email to their "customer service" two-three weeks ago giving them the opportunity to set me at ease.* Did not receive one response**.

But that is okay, because I called the vendors and
cancelled services and received refunds also. I am also explaining to them that scam artist "e Market Research Group" is making money through some type of referral program that involves vendors and ultimately the vendors will end up paying more than just referral fees. They will pay dearly in losing customers, future business, and their value & reputation will depreciate. I'm sure the larger customers like

Blockbusters and New York Times can absorb a blow like that and bounce back without missing a step. But I'm not sure if the smaller companies can afford the same. They can send rebuttals all they want, but they are all scams because eMarket Research Group has several individual operaters using individual email addresses and their own individual creative spamming schemes to deceive people into signing up so that they can sell all your personal information to the world while making money
for doing nothing. These people have no intent on sending you your a free gift. Because if they did have the sincere intent, then you would not be reading this now. Heck; Sending out a sony playstation or two doesnt mean anything. Because all you are doing is using it as a disguise to appear that you are rectifying and resolving the situation, but in reality all you are doing to trying to preserve a line the ability to deceive the public and scam money out of their pockets. All you are doing is hurting our economy by hurting
those people who are legitiment business people that conduct legitiment surveys and reward legitiment people with legitiment products that originate from honesty.
