Emerge Mastercard ripoff, dishonest billing and collections Atlanta Georgia

Like most of the other reports here, I was a customer in great standing with providian financial. I was issued credit line increases regularly and never late once. My account was sold to Emerge and my interest rate jacked up to 29.9%, the only explanation they would give me is that my account was sold as a high credit risk... whatever!

Emerge took 3 months to send me first statement and it included past due and over limit fees. I protested without much luck and finally just paid to bring account current. After months of game playing with these emerge people I finally gave up and asked for a settlement amount which I wanted to pay and be done with them, they refused to deal with me and now call harassing me every 15 to 30 minutes until 9PM. Their new game is to randomly dial extension numbers and leave messages stating my business on my co-workers voicemail, today they left a message for me, stating all the personal information for the call on our Administrators voicemail...which did not go over to well.

Why hasn't their been a prosecution or class action against these crooks yet ?
