Empire Carpet is a scam Internet

Empire Carpet is a rip-off and a scam.  Their pushy, obnoxious, deceitful salesman used sophistry to sell my elderly father highly overpriced carpeting.  He paid $3500 for carpeting that was worth no where near that amount. We found out later that he could have purchased much higher quality carpeting and padding for over a thousand dollars cheaper at Lowe’s.  Empire Carpet sent 3 Mexicans that could barely speak a word of English to install the carpeting and they did a lousy job.  They were probably illegal aliens.  Try having someone work on your house that barely speaks a word of English.

When my father realized he had been taken and sold a bill of goods he called Empire Carpet to voice his complaint.  He was told by a representative they would refund $1500 of his money.  Later he was told it would only be $400.00 and when the refund check arrived it was only for a measly $375.00.  I encouraged my father to call an attorney and file a complaint with the state attorney general against Empire Carpet but he is old and frail and didn’t want to go through the hassle.  My father is an 84 year old Korean War veteran and this is how he was treated and scammed by Empire Carpet.  This is how Empire Carpet treats the elderly and veterans.
