Empire Carpets, Empire Today Poor installation on tile, shower pan they showed us was not the same one they installed. But they insist that is the only on they sell.But I saw the one they showed us on their comercial. Los Angeles California

We have gone through h*ll with this company. So many problems where do I start. I called the company and told them I wanted to order bathtub and shower liners as well as tile flooring. I inquired as to wich order I needed to do that in. They told me it didn't matter. I could install the tile first, or the liners first, it was my choice.

So we set up an appointment to have the represenatives out to show us the different selections. We chose the syles we wanted and decided we wanted to have the flooring installed first. We ripped out everything in the bathrooms except the toilets based on their reccomendation of the remodel we were doing in our bathrooms, and because we assumed the tile would be installed the next day.The tile guys showed up and I double checked to make sure it didn't affect the liners if I installed the tile first.

He said we should install the liners first otherwise there will be an ugly gap. We didn't want that so we called empire. They tried to force us to install the tile that day. They said it was better to install the floor first. Luckily we had a good, honest installer Oscar who told us the truth and stood by what he said. We refused to let them install the flooring.

We then schedule them to install the bathtub and shower liners. he bathtub turned out ok, not without problems though. When it came time to install the shower liner 10 days later. We realized after the install was complete that the shower pan they installed was not the same one we ordered. They insisted that that was the only shower pan they have, and have ever installed in bathrooms. yet I was watching one of their commercials the other day, and saw the shower pan they showed me when I placed my order.

Also when we scheduled them to come back and install the tile we made it clear we wanted Oscars team to come back and do the install. the day of the install we get a call that there was a mistake and Oscar was scheduled for an install already. This was on a Friday. So we said we wanted to schedule it for Monday with his team. They said ok. Same call on Monday and Tuesday.

At that point we just needed them to get the tile installed. They send some guy out that day. This guy didn't even have the right tools, of course we didn't find that out until after he was finished when we asked why it looked that was. He told us he had to cut it buy hand because he didn't have all his tools. We couldn't believe it. Good thing the shower liner hadn't come in yet otherwise we would have had two crappy tile jobs.

Luckily we got Oscar to install the tile in our other bathroom wich looks great by the way, but they didn't send all the material with him, and were going try to force us to do the install on Monday. Mind you at this point we were pretty irrate. We ordered all of this on Augist 15th it is now September 14th. We told them they needed to have someone drive out and deliver the rest of the material.

After some haggleing they agreed. When it came time to put the grout in we realized they gave Oscar the wrong color. So we had to go to lowes to pick up some grout, and this is only part of the story. They still have to come back on Monday to fix the crappy job on the other bathroom.
