I purchased a UTV Cover from Empire Covers in September of 2014. I did not begin to use it until snowfall in December at which time, it immediately ripped on a seam. I repaired it with duct tape, but the cover continued to rip. Additionally the "water resistant" cover holds ice and becomes impossible to take off. I contacted Empire Covers and was shuffled off to Budge Industries (probably the importer) where I repeatedly reached an automated line. My calls were during business hours so it was not unreasonable to think a person might answer. I was informed electronically to return the cover AT MY EXPENSE and that a duplicate would be sent. No upgrades are available. So great, I can spend another $20 or so to return this junk, only to receive an equally poor quality duplicate - the equivalent of a cover made of newspaper. Then I can use it once and repeat the whole process each time for a year from the initial purchase.

The product is junk and the customer service is nonexistant. I will never deal with Empire Covers or Budge Industries again.

I know the warranty procedure with Budge Industries. I can return this flimsy cover, which holds ice in its fuzzy surface, and it will no doubt rip again. I have the priviledge of being able to return it at MY expense each time until the warranty period is over. But if the fabric remains the same, this cover is no better than newspaper, and I will pay more in return postage than it would have cost to have had one made out of leather. The warranty is just plausible deniabillity for a poor product, and Empire Covers is just a shill company for poor quality merchandise. BUYERS BEWARE. A refund or upgrade possibility would have avoided this, but those are not on the table.

 I'm sorry to hear about the difficulty you are having with your EmpireCovers.com purchase. Based on what you shared it sounds like there is a defect in the seam of your cover. Since the purchase was made in September of 2014 and we're currently in January of 2015 the product is indeed eligible for a warranty replacement. Please know that the replacement is through the product manufacturer Budge Industries. You simply need to mail the defective item back and Budge will pay to mail you an exact product replacement.
